"Summer of La Excavación" is the first segment of the thirteenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Primos.
Synopsis[]
Tater helps Toñita hide a secret from Tere and Tabi.
Plot[]
Tater is sleeping in the backyard to her Gravel Ravine comic, when Toñita suddenly lowers herself down in an attempt to swipe it. Tater awakens and deduces that Toñita is also a big Gravel Ravine fan. Not only does she confirm this, but she also admits that since the events of "Summer of No Sabo", Tater has inspired her to pursue another hobby outside of fashion: archeology. Toñita wants to attend a weekend event to dig at the Crevasse, but is afraid of telling her older sisters this, made worse when Tater points out that it is on the same day as the fashion week blowout sale. Tater agrees to help Toñita hide her archeological interests from her sisters.
Tater helps Toñita train with her archaeological skills, mainly by referencing the Gravel Ravine comic, while Toñita continues to spend time with Tere and Tabi. Despite several close calls, Toñita continues to avoid being up front with her sisters, until her clothes rip off, revealing her archeology attire. Toñita comes clean to her sisters about what she has been up to, adding that Tater suggested that they would not have approved of her new hobby. Tere and Tabi are upset and hurt over the fact that Tater and Toñita would assume that they would not approve and decide to go to the fashion blowout without Toñita.
Tater takes Toñita to the dig, but her heart isn't in it due to the falling out. They spot a news advert about how the fashion blowout has eroded into a disaster zone with Tere and Tabi now being chased by a boulder of clothes. Tater and Toñita race to the store and using the skills they picked up heroically swing their way in to rescue Tere and Tabi. The elder T Sisters are impressed with Toñita's skills and admit that they appreciate her new interests and promise to embrace her regardless, even accepting Tater's apology for influencing Toñita's. Back at the dig, ChaCha acquires a large green egg, while scaring an employee she had previously trapped in a sand pit.

- Outside of the show's theme song, this episode confirms that the oldest T Sister is named Tabi, while the middle T Sister is named Tere.
- This confusion stems from the official character poster for the T Sisters getting Tabi and Tere's names backwards.
- This episode reveals that Toñita has gotten a newfound interest in archeology.
- At the end of the episode, when ChaCha sneaks up on the excavation guide, she can be heard humming a song similar to the Jaws theme.
- Being underground is also a possible reference to Tremors.

- Toñita's archeological outfit and use of a belt for a whip is similar to the main character, Indiana Jones.
