"Summer of Lit-Tater-atura" is the second segment of the third episode of the Disney Channel animated series Primos.
Synopsis[]
Tater regrets giving her "baby" books to the younger primos.
Plot[]
Tater is reading her favorite fantasy romance novel while the primos are having a sock war. As she tells them to keep it down, Bibi comes in to collect laundry. Tater explains her book, Romancimorphs, to her mother and asks for the next volume. However, she insists that if she wants the next book, she would probably need to get rid of her old ones. Tater is at a loss for words as her older books helped define who she is. With Bibi's gentle prodding, Tater decides that the best thing to do is to pass on her older books to other kids and become "Saint Tater, the patron saint of books". She opts to give her books to the youngest primos.
Tater pulls Nachito, Lucita, and ChaCha aside and gives the three her books who happily take them. Nellie mocks Tater for her actions as she points out that they most likely do not have the same appreciation for books as she does. True to her words, Tater finds that Lucita draws in her pages, ChaCha chews and licks them, while Nachito rips the pages out to use as balls for his Palo de Poder (Power Stick). Tater takes the books back, but Bibi insists that she return them. Tater tries to get back at Lucita and ChaCha by drawing and chewing on their things, respectively, but they instead appreciate her actions, much to her chagrin.
Tater leaves a note for Nachito and throws his Palo de Poder in the garbage bin. He looks at the note and panics. As Tater waits for him to get his stick, she realizes that he isn't coming and gets the stick back. Big Nacho asks Tater what she has been doing and she admits to her mean spirited prank. Nachito panicked because, just like him, they are both dyslexic. They like reading, but have difficulty trying to make words out sometimes. Tater returns Nachito his stick and he apologizes for not keeping her book clean. With Big Nacho's help, Tater teaches Nachito how to read by sounding out different letters and gets to invested in a book on Junko Tabei.
