"Summer of The Santa Anas" is the second segment of the sixteenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Primos.

Synopsis[]

Tater and the primos get trapped by a giant dust storm.

Plot[]

Tater and the primos are watching TV when Bibi comes down to thank the T Sisters for their skin care products. Buela notices that something is off and sees that the electricity in the air is active. She concludes that a wind storm, the Santa Anas, is coming through and that they need to prepare themselves. Tater reveals that she has packed survival equipment for Pop and Buela and hands them their bags before they quickly head for home. The rest of the family quickly try to adapt especially since the wind knocked over their satellite and their TV. Tater quietly goes to her room to work in her journal, only to realize that she gave the wrong backpack to Buela along with her journal.

Tater begins to panic over not being able to write anything. After seeing the primos failing to entertain themselves, Tater picks up a Quakey's menu card and use it as a placeholder journal. She comes across a Bootleg Vision Tiger who convinces her that she should go out and get her journal back from Buela's despite the oncoming wind storm. Just as Tater is about to leave, she is pulled back by the primos and explains her situation to them. They suggest using them as her journal and Tater does so. The primos quickly regret this as they find her inner thoughts annoying and agree to go out into the storm to help get the journal back.

Tater and the primos suit up and head out into the Santa Anas, avoiding debris left and right. They are saved by the arrival of Jean-Cluck Van Fried, but when ChaCha and Lucita are nearly swept away in the winds, Tater sees Vision Tiger who tells her that this is not all worth it and that he is closer than she realizes. The storm finally dies down (the group never made it past the front lawn) and the TV comes back on, causing everyone to head back inside. Tater happily goes upstairs to clean herself up, only to find that her journal was in the bathroom this entire time. She decides not to tell the primos this.
