"Summer of the 13th Primo" is the first segment of the ninth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Primos.
Synopsis[]
Tater tries to uncover the identity of a mysterious, forgotten cousin.
Plot[]
Tater and LotLot have all the primos gathered in the living room and announce that they have put together the clues that identify a supposed thirteenth primo, much to everyone's shock and confusion as they point out that Tater, Nellie, and Baby Bud are also primos. In flashback, Tater and LotLot are at Buela's house when they hear a noise upstairs. Buela is trying to clean out the attic and the girls decide to help her out. As LotLot digs into the closet, she finds a truck with pictures of what appear to be another primo, but with their face obscured by a French horn. Tater and LotLot resolve to look into this mystery and find who this unknown thirteenth primo is.
They first ask Lita who is oblivious to the identity of the primo, but she offers to help them out and act as a "bad cop" in their group. They confront Tabi, Cousin Bud, and Big Nacho about the identity of the primo, but all three of them act defensive and nervous when the question is brought up. Tater and LotLot are certain that they know something, but by then Lita leaves to go do other things. As they check the pictures, they notice a lawn gnome that is no longer in the garden. Discovering a patch of dirt outside, the two dig it up and find a box. In the present, it is revealed to be a marching band uniform and sheet music. The missing primo is Lita herself.
Lita once played in the school band, but an embarrassing incident of her was uploaded online and it scared her from ever playing the French horn again. Tabi, Cousin Bud, and Big Nacho reveal that they knew about it and made a primo promise never to bring it up. Realizing she did more harm, Tater, LotLot and the rest of the primos bury Lita's marching band things in the yard again. However, Lita returns playing the French horn, conquering her shame. Tater apologizes for prodding with Lita telling her that she taught her to embrace her past. The primos promise to find and make the video uploader pay, though it is quietly revealed to have been Pop.
