"Superhero Switcheroo" is the second segment of the twentieth episode of Spidey and his Amazing Friends. It premiered on March 18, 2022 along side "The Wozzlesnook".
Synopsis[]
When Spidey and Hulk's powers are switched, they must teach each other how to be each other.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Spidey and Hulk heading over to the park to help build a new playground. As Hulk uses his super strength and Spidey uses his stickiness, Doc Ock shows up with a caged bunny. She shows off her new invention called the Switcheroo Machine, which she intends to use to swap Spidey and Hulk's powers into the bunny, leaving the heroes powerless. As Spidey and Doc Ock fight over the machine, Hulk smashes it onto the ground. The machine is still functional enough that it ends up swapping Hulk and Spidey's powers, giving Spidey super strength and Hulk super stickiness. Doc Ock makes her escape, and Hulk has trouble walking around due to his feet sticking to the ground as Spidey accidentally breaks his web shooters after angrily smashing a garbage can. The duo are forced to head over to WEB-quarters to get new web shooters.
Upon returning to WEB-quarters, however, Spidey accidentally breaks one of the web shooters with his super strength and he and Hulk accidentally break the other one after falling to a lower level. To make matters even worse, Doc Ock has returned to the city with her bunny and a newly fixed Switcheroo Machine. Before confronting her, the heroes decide to train each other how to use their superpowers. Spidey teaches Hulk how to climb buildings with concentration, and Hulk likewise teaches Spidey to calm down before using his strength.
Doc Ock finds the heroes, but she has not figured out that they have the wrong superpowers. Spidey uses Hulk's thunder clap ability to knock the Switcheroo Machine out of Doc Ock's hands before hiding with it. He ambushes Doc Ock and wraps her in a pipe. He then uses the Switcheroo Machine to swap his and Hulk's powers back, along Hulk to fully break the machine this time. The episode ends with the heroes helping to finish the playground, along with Hulk playing with Doc Ock's bunny.
