Susan Frankenstein is the wife of Ben Frankenstein and the mother of Victor Frankenstein.
Description[]
Susan Frankenstein is a friendly, loving, and supportive mother who encourages her son’s scientific pursuits, even when her kitchen appliances end up in his attic lab. She is an avid reader and loves to watch movies with her husband, and enjoys the company of her family and her books.
Susan appears to take on the role of a stereotypical cookie-cutter ’50s housewife.

Frankenweenie (2012)[]
Susan is first seen watching Sparky's movie along with her husband, her son, and their pet dog Sparky. As the movie ends, Victor's parents are impressed of Sparky's good acting as a performing dog for the good movie he showed to Susan and her husband just as Victor plans to fix the camera. When Edward discusses with his wife about Victor having friends, she replies to him that he never knew that Victor had other friends other than his pet dog Sparky. The next day during dinner, Victor's father tells his wife about the importance of making a compromise between the science fair and baseball. During a game of baseball, Susan watches Victor participating, alongside Victor's other classmates which Victor suddenly gets a home run during the game. Victor's mother then catches up with her husband and arrives at the road which Sparky is suddenly killed by a car.
At the pet cemetery, Susan and her husband hold a funeral for Sparky who was killed by a car just as Victor's parents return home just as Victor continues to mourn over Sparky. As Victor returns home, his mother tells him that Sparky will live in Victor's hearts, even if he passed away. The next day, Victor passes by his mother while holding a box filled with various items in a plan to revive Sparky. The next day during Victor's plan to revive Sparky, Victor passes by his parents watching a Dracula movie on TV just as Victor goes upstairs to revive his dog.
The next day, Victor's mother is calling her son for breakfast which Victor hides his dog to avoid being seen by his mother while her son offers him waffles for breakfast. Just as his mother leaves, Victor tells Sparky to stay here so people wouldn't see him just as he goes out for a walk, while Susan vacuums her room, unaware of Sparky chasing Mr. Whiskers across the neighborhood. Later at a PTA meeting, Susan attends the meeting held by Mr. Burgermeister at the New Holland Elementary School just as Susan's husband tells the Mayor about Victor who is a scientist and what he does as a scientist. Back at home, Susan is seen looking for kitchen appliances for her recipe which she notices that Victor took them. She then goes to the attic where Victor is supposed to be just as she finds a blackboard showing his experiments used to bring Sparky back to life which Sparky stumbles upon Susan, horrified to see Sparky who notices that Victor brought him back to life, along with her husband who tries to calm him down, following his son doing the same which his pet dog escapes again. As Sparky escapes and Victor's father scolds his son for reanimating Sparky, his wife mother devises a plan to find Sparky and make sure he is safe after a little talk which Edward agrees with his wife's plan. Later. in a plan to find Sparky, Victor tells his parents to check the town square while Victor himself plans to check on the park to make sure Sparky is safe.
Back at the Dutch Day festival, Victor's parents search under a stage to know if Sparky is there but they could not find him. Susan and her husband are later seen escaping from a group of mutated Sea-Monkeys where they ambush them as the two hide inside a phone booth, followed by Shelley destroying it, leaving them with no shelter. Later, Sparky comes across Victor's parents just as they see Sparky who was safe while Mr. Burgermeister who is leading an angry mob plans to kill Sparky where they think he is a monster. Just as Sparky attempts to rescue Elsa, the mob chases Sparky across the street while Victor's parents try to catch up with Sparky where the mob and Victor's parents arrive at a windmill. Victor's parents attempt to rescue their son who is in trouble which Victor suddenly falls on the side of the windmill after rescuing Elsa during the battle against Mr. Whiskers which Victor suddenly reunited with his parents.
Later after the firefighters rescued Sparky from the burning windmill, Victor's father tells everyone to start their engines to power in the electricity using cables on Sparky with to revive him while Victor's mother approaches Sparky to make sure he is safe while Victor tries to find signs of life for his pet dog. Sparky comes back to life while he happily reunites with his owners once again.
