Susan Abigail Sarandon (née Tomalin) is an American actress who is well known for her role as Sister Helen Prejean in the 1995 crime drama film Dead Man Walking, which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress. She also voiced Coco LaBouche in the Nickelodeon film Rugrats in Paris and Mrs. Joyce Clark in Our Friend, Martin.

For Disney, she voiced Miss Spider in the 1996 live-action/stop-motion film James and the Giant Peach, and both voiced and portrayed Queen Narissa in the 2007 animated/live-action film Enchanted. She also played Margherita Sarfatti in the 1999 Touchstone Pictures film Cradle Will Rock and Beverly Clark in the 2004 Miramax film Shall We Dance?.
