"Swing with a Stomp" is the second segment of the eleventh episode of Spidey and his Amazing Friends. It premiered on November 12, 2021.

Synopsis[]

During the concert, Doc Ock steals the drum set and uses it to hypnotize the entire audience.

Plot[]

A "Make Your Own Music" festival is being held at the park, and Gwen is entering with her new drum set. She also brought her headphones along 'cause her drumming gets loud. Suddenly, the festival is interrupted by Doc Ock, who shows up on stage with her latest invention: The Hypno-Beat. People start running away in fear while some are frozen on the spot. Doc Ock notices Gwen's drum set and takes one of her drums. Then she attaches her new invention on it. The Spiders suit up and surround Doc Ock. She easily slings them away with her tentacles, and sends Ghost-Spider flying into the other instruments back stage. She even gets her head stuck in a tuba. Doc Ock turns her attention to the audience and starts tapping her Hypno-Beat. It releases a series of soundwaves that hypnotize everyone present, including Spidey and Spin. But since Ghost-Spider had her head stuck in a tuba she could not hear the Hypno-Beat. So, she did not get hypnotized. With Spidey and Spin under Doc Ock's control, she commands them to go after Ghost-Spider. Meanwhile, Doc Ock heads for the radio tower where she plans to hypnotize the whole city into doing whatever she says.

The hypnotized Spidey and Spin chase Ghost-Spider across the city. She tries to get through to them, but her efforts are in vain. But when she is caught off guard by Spin, Ghost-Spider falls into an alley where she crashes into a pile of trash cans. The beat sound of the trash cans release a soundwave that knocks Spin out of his trance. They try the same method on Spider, and he too returns to his senses. With the Spiders back together again, the swing off to the radio tower with a plan to stop Doc Ock. Ghost-Spider plans to play her new rythm super loud to save the city. But in order to do so, they have to get her drum back.

CAL has set up a throne for Doc Ock on top of the radio tower. She is really excited about hypnotizing the city to obey her, and does not know where to begin. She first thinks about making the people paint her face on every tall building, but then decides that would be showing-off. Then she suggest making them change all the ice cream flavors to her favorite: Stinky gorgonzola. CAL suggests making them do a robot dance, but Doc Ock thinks that is just silly. Suddenly, Ghost-Spider swipes her drum from Doc Ock. However, she manages to swipe back her Hypno-Beat. Spidey and Spin also show up, no longer under Doc Ock's control. She tries to rehypnotize them, only to realize she no longer has Ghost-Spider's drum. Ghost-Spider heads to the top of the tower to play her drum, and Spin swipes the Hypno-Beat from Doc Ock. She tries to get it back, but then turns her attention to Ghost-Spider, who starts playing her drum. This knocks everyone hypnotize out of their trance. Doc Ock tries to stop her, but the Spiders wrap her up in their webs.

The Spiders return to the festival, and Gwen takes to the stage. She rocks the crowd with her loud drumming, and Peter and Miles dance along with the rhythm.
