Tadanobu Satō, better known by his stage name Tadanobu Asano (浅野 忠信 Asano Tadanobu), is a Japanese actor, who is best known for his roles in many Japanese films, including Electric Dragon 80.000 V, Ichi the Killer, Zatōichi, Last Life in the Universe, Survive Style 5+, and The Taste of Tea. He is also well known for his role as Temüjin/Gengis Khan in the 2007 Russian semi-historical film Mongol.
For Disney, he played Hogun in the Marvel films Thor and its sequels Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok. Additionally, for FX on Hulu, he played Kashigi Yabushige on Shōgun.
