"Tales of Captain Buzzard" is the one hundred and twelfth episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on October 15, 2016, and is the seventeenth episode in the fourth season.
Plot[]
While searching for treasure, Captain Hook, his crew, and Grandpa Bones are confronted by a fearsome dragon who prevents the pirates from escaping. Captain Hook reveals that Grandpa Bones told them a tale about a legendary treasure in the cavern. Grandpa Bones mentions it was a pretty good story, and decides to tell another tale about some buccaneers who could get out of any scrape.
For the first segment, named The Three Buccaneers, in a faraway land, lived the greatest swashbucklers - Jacos, Master of the Blade, Isadore the Stealthy, nimble as a cat, and Cubos the Speedy, who is very fast. The Buccaneers then sing about defending those in need. Also, the village was ruled by Count DuHook, who stole from the rich and the poor and keep it all for himself. However, he always gets stopped by The Three Buccaneers. They then show up, having been caught trying to break in by Mr. Smee. Count DuHook is loving it, and decides to place them in the dungeon until he can arrange for a fair and honest trial in two hundred years.
With the dungeon stinky, Scullay shows up, having been told by The Three Buccaneers that they allowed themselves to be caught, as somewhere in the dungeon, Count DuHook keeps a prisoner who is forced to wear an iron mask. It is up to The Three Buccaneers to find out who he is and why is face must be kept secret. Scullay has seen him before, and The Three Buccaneers work together to escape before Skully shows them the way.
They first sneak past Mr. Smee before encountering the Prisoner in the Iron Mask. The Three Buccaneers guide him out of the prison, but the prisoner bumps his head, alerting Mr. Smee, who calls Sharky and Bones to capture them. Jacos takes care of the guards while Isadore, Cubos, and Scullay take the prisoner to safety. Later, The Three Buccaneers try all the doors, with the last revealing Count DuHook, who takes the prisoner away. Isadore uses the key to unlock the door, and with the place full of secret passageways, Cubos tests the walls for them. He uses a candle as a lever to reveal a passageway. The Three Buccaneers then head down the path and find Count DuHook about to place the prisoner in a crocodile pit, guarded by Tick-Tock the Crocodile. Cubos and Isadore goes to rescue the prisoner while Jacos fights Count DuHook. Cubos, Isadore, and Scullay use a chain to rescue the prisoner while Jacos cuts Count DuHook's sword, forcing him to surrender. Later, Count DuHook is shackled, and Jake snatches the key, which the prisoner uses to free himself from his mask, revealing himself to be the rightful Count DuHook, with the other actually his brother. Count DuHook was imprisoned by his brother, who took his place for his own greedy ends, and the imposter is sent into the dungeon by Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones. The real Count DuHook vows to rule the village with justice and kindness, thanks to The Three Buccaneers. Meanwhile, the imposter Count DuHook is being chased by Tick-Tock Croc.
Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones like the story, but Captain Hook warns of the destruction by the dragon. So, Grandpa Bones decides to tell another story, one about a hero who refused to give up. For the second segment, named Knights of the Round Tower, a long time ago, there was a very special castle, once a meeting place of the greatest heroes, The Knights of the Round Tower, consisting of Sir Jaxon with his sword Defend-alot, Sir Cubos with his steed Bounder, Lady Isolde, who carried The Shield of Victory, magically protecting her from harm, Sir Skullahad, who can fly faster than a speeding arrow, and Sir Hookamore, a sneaky snookamore and no bright knight. They gathered together whenever they were summoned by the court wizard, The Remarkable Merlini. He shows them the legendary Golden Goblet, awarded to only a knight who is courageous, clever, and honorable. The one who succeeds will be known as the greatest knight of all time, and Sir Hookamore thinks he can do so, followed by the other knights.
They will have to embark on a quest to find the Golden Goblet. They first come across the Troll of the Bridge of Swords. Lady Isolde attempts to cross the bridge first, and succeeds, but Sir Cubos has no luck and Bounder breaks. Sir Skullahad also has no luck and is flung away, but Sir Jaxon succeeds. The swords stop swinging, and Sir Hookamore crosses the bridge last while blinding the Troll.
The next challenge is three boats for three knights. They soon come across the Lady of the Lake, who blocks their path with a tornado. It sucks up Lady Isolde, who breaks her fall with her shield before being washed to shore. Meanwhile, Sir Jaxon uses a tidal wave to get to shore, and as a result, the Lady of the Lake allows him to pass while she takes a bath. Sir Hookamore then joins Sir Jaxon in resuming their quest for the Golden Goblet.
They soon reach the Grotto of the Golden Goblet and race there with Sir Hookamore touching it before falling. Jake then catches the Golden Goblet, but since it came to him by less than honorable means, he did not finish the quest. Sir Jaxon then returns the Golden Goblet to its original place to await a knight who is truly worthy. As a result, back at the castle, The Remarkable Merlini awards Sir Jaxon with the Golden Goblet, as he has proven to be the greatest knight of all time. As for Sir Hookamore, his efforts have earned him the title of Court Jester, to his dismay.
Grandpa Bones concludes the story by stating that no matter the difficulty, a real hero has what it takes to prevail. The dragon then threatens Captain Hook's crew again, but Jake and his crew arrive and Jake shields the dragon's breath with his Mighty Captain Sword and sends it back to the dragon. Izzy then uses her Pixie Dust on the dragon to send him away. Jake and his crew knew where Captain Hook's crew were because Grandpa Bones told them a story about the place, stating that it contained treasure but not a dragon. Jake mentions that no matter the circumstance, things are always exciting when Grandpa Bones is around. Grandpa Bones concludes that someday this all will make a great story.
