Amos Slade shouldn't be labeled a villain, more an anti-villain. Reason being he fits more with the anti-villain category than a full villain. Amos isn't an evil man, he was just a hunter/farmer who was protecting his chickens from a perceived threat and was angry that his dog was hurt. He doesn't know that Tod was only looking to play with Copper, he only saw Tod when his chickens were running away from Tod while Chief was giving chase. It stands to reason that he'd fit the anti-villain category, because he does what we perceive as bad things for understandable reasons which is what an anti-villain is.
