Kelly Kamalelehua Smith, known professionally as Kelly Preston, was an American actress and former model. She was well-known for her roles in various films, such as portraying Marilyn McCauley in the 1985 comedy film Mischief, Marnie Mason in the 1988 buddy comedy film Twins, Avery Bishop in the 1996 sports comedy-drama film Jerry Maguire, and Joan Walden in the 2003 live-action adaptation of The Cat in the Hat.

For Disney, she was best known for playing Josie Stronghold/Jetstream in the 2005 superhero comedy film Sky High and Vicki Greer in Old Dogs (along with her husband, John Travolta, as Charlie Reed and their daughter, Ella Bleu, as Emily Greer). She also portrayed Karen Landers in the 1991 Hollywood Pictures film Run, Anne Beam in the 1997 Touchstone Pictures film, Nothing to Lose, Kate Newell in the 1998 Touchstone Pictures film Holy Man, and Kim Miller in the 2010 Touchstone Pictures film The Last Song.

On July 12, 2020, Preston died after a nearly two-year battle with breast cancer.
