"Tarzan and the Rough Rider" is the seventeenth episode of The Legend of Tarzan. It originally aired on UPN on September 21, 2001.
Synopsis
Theodore Roosevelt, a former U.S. President, is on safari in Africa when he becomes the focus of a kidnapping plot. It's up to Tarzan and the others to save him and to show the former Rough Rider that there are other ways of learning about nature than by shooting it.
Trivia
- Judging by Theodore Roosevelt's presence and that he's a former present, the franchise is presumably set in the early 1900s.
- The Rough Rider is a title to 1st United States Volunteer Calvary which was commanded by Theodore Roosevelt during the Spanish-American War. And he also said to Tarzan about the Battle of San Juan Hill.
- Judging by when Tarzan told Roosevelt that he didn't want to know what he said to Manu, it's implied that Roosevelt accidently said a swear word to Manu.
