Trivia[]
- The term Mangani is derived from the fictional species of ape that raised Tarzan in the original Tarzan novels.
- In the original Tarzan film, the Manganis were replaced by gorillas.
- The episode takes place after "Tarzan and the Hidden World", as the events of said episode are mentioned here in this episode.
- Just like in that previous episode, Philander attempts to steal Archimedes' discoveries and claim it as his own, even if it means capturing other animals via ill-gotten means, only to end up suffering a humiliating defeat of a bogus scientific discovery in the end.
