"Team Exo-Flex" is the second segment of the twenty-fourth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on October 17, 2015 alongside "Dino World".

Plot[]

In the holo-course, Miles is teaching Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp how to use the Exo-Flex suit. Miles tells Stella to download Exo-Flex course "chain reaction". The goal is to make it to the end of the path without bumping into an orb. Bumping into an orb knocks it into another, and it continues, which is called a chain reaction. Miles successfully does the task. Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp hop into their Exo-Flex suits, with Pipp stating that they will get down to serious training after that. However, they are having trouble controlling the suits, with Blodger not knowing how to use his legs. Stella then informs Miles about a call from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Once the Callistos are at the bridge, they call Admirals Watson and Crick, the latter lifting a weight numerous times. Watson tells the Callistos that their mission is on Planet Kyrillos. There, the TTA has been monitoring the climate to see if it is a safe place for colonization, but the climate station on its surface has mysteriously burned down. The Callistos are tasked not only to investigate what started the fire, but also to install a small mobile climate station on the surface as a replacement until the big one can be rebuilt. Crick then completes six hundred lifts, and goes on to the push-ups before the transmission ends.

Loretta tells Miles that his first time Exo-Flexing was not easy, and neither was hers. Miles agrees, as he did not get better until he wore the suit on the moon Namazu. Loretta suggests that he try doing the same on Kyrillos. Miles thinks it is a spacetastic idea, and tells Phoebe and Leo to install the weather station on the Exo-Flex suits. They agree, and M.E.R.C. will make sure everything is under control. Miles then goes to the holo-course, where he announces that he will be taking Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp, who are still struggling, on a mission.

The Callistos then land on Kyrillos with the Star Jetter, and Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp go into their Exo-Flex suits while Phoebe, Loretta, and Leo check out the climate station. As Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp try to lift up the small weather station, they fall down. Leo gives them some advice, and they lift up the station. They then slowly carry it to a higher level for the best atmospheric readings. Meanwhile, Phoebe, Leo, and Loretta head in the climate station to find out why it burned down.

After Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp place the small weather station on the surface, Miles congratulates everyone, and tells M.E.R.C. to anchor the station down. Afterwards, however, the ground cracks, and Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp end up riding a rock in a river full of lava. Miles says that Exo-Flex suits are designed to handle hot temperatures, as is M.E.R.C., but Haruna says that they are not designed to handle falling rocks. While they are moving faster down the river, Miles tells them to hang on.

In the big weather station, Loretta and Leo find out that lightning and electrical sparks didn't start the fire. Phoebe then sees a flow of magma, also known as underground lava. Leo says that it is so hot that a little splash of it ignited the whole place. He then saves Phoebe when she falls through, and with the ground cracking, Phoebe tries to contact Miles to no avail. Miles, Blodger, Haruna, and Pipp see a whirlpool up ahead, and Miles decides for them to jump onto the rock. Blodger says that jumping is bouncing, and he knows how to bounce. Everyone bounces onto the platform, with Haruna barely making it. The rock then plugs up the whirlpool, causing the magma to rise up faster.

Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp see a tunnel up ahead, but they can't get there or go back, as well. Miles does not have a plan. In the big weather station, Phoebe and Leo pull the door to lead them and Loretta to another room, but Leo can't open the door that leads outside. Loretta and Phoebe wish that Miles and his friends would show up to help them about now.

In the cave, Miles can't think of any way to get across, as there was no training simulation for this. However, one rock falls, knocking the others over. This gives Miles an idea: to put the chain reaction course into practice. If the stalagmite they see ahead is knocked over, it will knock over the others and make a bridge to the tunnel. After M.E.R.C. counts down, Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp knock down the stalagmite. With the cave shaking, they run their way to safety. M.E.R.C. sees the bottom part of the weather station, and they punch their way up.

In the weather station, Leo, Phoebe, and Loretta use their heat rays on the door to no avail. Just then, Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp punch their way to the station and kick the door down. They then bring Leo, Phoebe, and Loretta out of the station, and after they stow their suits, the Star Jetter leaves the planet.

Admirals Watson and Crick conclude that Planet Kyrillos has too much volcanic activity for a colony, and are relieved that no one got hurt during the mission. Phoebe says that the credit goes to a solid group of Exo-Flexers. Despite being insisted to do so, Crick can't press the button because his arms are too sore from over-exercising. Watson does so, awarding Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp their Exo-Flex certificates. The Admirals then soak up in the hot tub while Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp perform a comet bump.

Cast[]

Trivia[]

  • Miles mentions the events that earned him his Exo-Flex certificate in "Rock N' Roll".
    • Much like in "Rock N' Roll", Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp struggle before earning their certificates.

Goofs[]

  • Miles, Haruna, Blodger, and Pipp have their spacesuits on in their Exo-Flex suits while on Planet Kyrillos. After they bring the small climate station to the ground, Miles and Haruna are seen with their spacesuits off.
