Teresa Mary Palmer is an Australian actress and model, who, for Disney, played Violet Nottingham in the 2008 family-fantasy-comedy film Bedtime Stories and Rebecca "Becky" Barnes in the 2010 fantasy adventure film The Sorcerer's Apprentice. She also played Number Six in the 2011 film I Am Number Four.

Palmer was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia and was a student at Mercedes College, a private Catholic day school, and won a local-casting audition, "Search for a Movie Star," in 2003. Her first acting job was dressing up as a Strawberry Shortcake doll and as an elf assistant to mall Santa Clauses on weekends for promotions in shopping centres near Adelaide. Palmer went to acting classes for a couple of years and appeared in several television commercials. She attended college but dropped out to work continued acting.

In the early 2000s, Palmer made her film debut in Wolf Creek which led to roles in 2:37, The Grudge 2, Hacksaw Ridge, Berlin Syndrome, Ride Like a Girl, Take Me Home Tonight, Warm Bodies, The Ever After, Lights Out, and The Twin. She then starred in the supernatural drama series A Discovery of Witches and the psychological thriller miniseries The Clearing.
