"Terrifying Tales of Recess" is the sixty-third episode of Recess.

Synopsis[]

In this episode, Butch tells viewers three separate terrifying tales of Recess.

Plot[]

Principal Prickly introduces the episode by telling everyone about Halloween. However, it turns out to be Butch in a mask who tells the viewers that he is going to tell them three terrifying tales for the season.

"Children of the Cornchip"[]

Cornchip Girl arrives at Kelso's who is concerned over the new brand of potato chip that came in and needs someone to sample it. Cornchip Girl eats it and suddenly becomes sinister and attacks Kelso. At school the next day, the Recess Gang hear that Kelso is in the hospital and claims he was attacked by a monster. Gus appears to be well informed about such a thing when he lived in Europe and the Gang begin to suspect something is off with Gretchen using Galileo to find out what may have caused the attack.

Cornchip Girl attempts to sneak the new potato chips onto the school's lunch menu, but Galileo figures out what caused the strange change just in time. Cornchip Girl eats the chips and transforms into a werewolf and scares the entire school body. Gus dons a detective disguise and is joined by the Cockney Kids to chase Cornchip Girl on the roof where a fog has rolled in. They corner Cornchip Girl who falls, but is caught by Mikey as the chip's effects wear off. The Gang take the chips and toss them onto the roof of the school, but they fall and land in the Kindergarteners' pin where they are about to eat them.

"When Bikes Attack!"[]

Mikey happily comments on his bike Pegasus which he is forced to leave out in the rain. As a thunderstorm rolls in, Pegasus is suddenly struck by lightning, bringing it to life. It makes its way into the school where it runs into Principal Prickly. As Mikey attempts to take it back outside, Pegasus suddenly springs to life and begins to chase the kids and faculty. The Gang band together to find a way to stop Pegasus and Mikey reluctantly agrees to pop its tires. Despite this, Pegasus reinflates them.

Prickly orders the entire school body and faculty to flee the school as they trap Pegasus inside. However, the other bikes come to life and proceed to surround everyone with Pegasus leading the charge. Suddenly, the school bus shows up and Prickly forces everyone to climb on, despite Menlo's grievance over the fact that it would be impossible for everyone to get onto one bus. Nevertheless, everyone gets on and escapes the evil bikes, only for everyone to realize that no one is driving the bus.

"Night of the Living Finsters"[]

The Recess Gang are playing when they spot the Diggers frantically leaving their hole in a panic. The Gang wonders what is inside and Lawson shows up and dares Vince to spend the night in the hole by himself, which he reluctantly agrees to. Vince shows up and hops down the hole to discover that there are numerous well lit tunnels. He runs into the rest of the Gang who refused to let him come alone and they find a tomb dedicated to the family line of Finsters, as well as a zombified Finster.

The Gang is chased by numerous Zombie Finsters who chase the kids all the way into the cafeteria. They lock themselves in the backroom where they create an acidic substance and pour it into the sprinklers, melting the zombies and leaving not a trace. The next morning, the Gang find that there are no melted remains and the trap door is sealed. They find the Diggers outside who tell them that they were afraid because one of them broke their dad's shovel. As the Gang come to the conclusion that they were all dreaming, a pair of Finster's glasses remains in the cafeteria.

Epilogue[]

Butch admits to the viewer that he, or someone else, made up the stories before removing his face to reveal a Miss Finster mask. He gives the viewers a Happy Halloween before returning to recess.
