Synopsis[]

With the Caballeros back among the living, Xandra takes them and the nieces to Camelot to get them some proper "hero training" from King Arthur himself, but the King's purely-motivational training leaves a lot to be desired when the nieces accidentally summon a dragon. Meanwhile, Sheldgoose breaks into the Caballeros' cabana to steal back the Spark of Life. Though he is foiled by Ari and the bear, he manages to steal the amulets instead.

Plot[]

Back at Clinton Coot's cabana, Xandra explains to the Caballeros that they are now back at the real world in living forms. Humphrey the Bear is happy to see the Caballeros back, alongside April, May, and June. Xandra explains to the trio that Felldrake and Sheldgoose have upped their game in a plan to defeat the heroes, so Xandra tells them it is time for the most difficult training the three ever had to defeat them. She then devises a plan to get some training from King Arthur. It is explained that the original Three Caballeros traveled to Camelot to receive Arthur's priceless hero training to which Xandra plans to take the three to Camelot tasking them to travel with courage just as the Caballeros leave their belongings so they can travel to Camelot while Daisy's nieces are tasked to guard the Caballeros' stuff. Instead of doing so, the three decide to travel with the Caballeros this time while Ari the Aracuan Bird to which Xandra agrees.

Meanwhile at Sheldgoose's mansion, Sheldgoose and Felldrake spy on Humphrey and Ari at Clinton's cabana while looking for the Caballeros to which the two disguise themselves wearing a cake costume to distract the Bear Rug inside. While discussing, he explains to his ancestor that he received responses from the great wizard trapped who was trapped inside his staff. Felldrake recaps of his flashback of the original Three Caballeros who used three amulets and trapped Felldrake inside his staff as the two continue planning to retrieve the Spark of Life. The two distract Humphrey and plan to bring the cake costume inside the cabana. However, despite a mystic barrier outside the cabana, Humphrey manages to take the costume inside. Humphrey prepares to eat it, but Sheldgoose surprises him as part of his evil plans.

Arriving at Camelot, Xandra, the Caballeros, and Daisy's nieces find themselves at King Arthur's castle to which upon arriving, Arthur, an anthropomorphic lion, shows the group his book "Awaken the Hero Within in 90 Days or Less". He then presents the audience the Grail of Immortality, which Arthur obtained to keep him immortal just as he tells the audience to hear their reviews from the satisfied customers: the Knights of the Round Table. Lancelot, a horse knight, gives a review that Arthur taught him that the biggest walls aren't outside the castle but rather inside his mind. The frog knight, Galahad, then reviews that Arthur showed him that no armor is more restrictive than the armor guarding his heart. The ostrich knight, Kay, reviews that she was afraid of facing the trolls while crossing bridges but thanks to Arthur's help, she managed to conquer her fear of trolls. Finally, the dog knight, Bors the Younger, reviews that Arthur formally taught him how to change his name as he thanks the Knights for their reviews. Seeing Xandra and her group in the audience, Arthur sees her and recognizes that he has never seen her for about 100 years to which Xandra shows them the Three Caballeros. However, Arthur doesn't recognize these Caballeros in their modern outfits at first. José explains to Arthur that they are not weak but rather vulnerable. Arthur explains to know what is the most dangerous obstacle the three could ever face to which while talking about a dragon, an ogre, or Xandra, he corrects them telling that self-doubt is the only obstacle they ever faced. Arthur tasks the Caballeros to find the Sword of Confidence where he plans for hero training to help them be brave.

Back at Clinton's cabana, Sheldgoose devises a plan to get the Spark out of Humphrey who is exhausted to which as Sheldgoose suspiciously tries to get it out, Ari the Aracuan Bird reacts to Sheldgoose's plan to get it out to which he attempts to ward the evil warlock out of the cabana. Back at Camelot, the Caballeros are tasked to stretch outside their comfort zones as Galahad teaches them to stretch just as Daisy's nieces plan to explore Camelot to which after stretching, Arthur asks Donald to be his volunteer to which he explains to Donald that without faith in others, he would always fall. Arthur then calls Lancelot, Galahad, Kay, and Bors for a trust fall to make Arthur bound in mutual trust. Xandra approaches Arthur who explains that his new hero methods are interesting to which Arthur explains to the Caballeros that they can't be heroes if they can't be a team to which the Knights of the Round Table agree.

Meanwhile, April, May, and June wander at a wizard's workshop where an anthropomorphic owl appears in front of three. As Daisy's nieces introduce themselves to the wizard, he introduces himself as Merlin, Camelot's most great and powerful wizard. April, May, and June explain to Merlin that they arrived for Arthur's hero training to which upon looking at June's smartphone, April and June explain to Merlin that the object he is holding is a cellphone, where he can use it to take pictures or play games on it. Seeing a video game on June's phone, Merlin then plays the game to earn gems and gold. Back at Clinton's cabana, Ari continues chasing Sheldgoose to ward him out of the cabana to which upon entering the basement, he discovers the outfits of the original Three Caballeros to which upon seeing it, Ari guards the outfits to protect it from being stolen.

Back at Camelot, Lancelot, Galahad, Kay, and Bors are walking on hot coals where the Caballeros must complete the challenge to face their fear of pain. Donald refuses to do it, but Arthur warns him that complaining is a great weakness to heroes. Donald then runs across the coals and leaps into a trough, where Arthur explains that pain is the body expelling weakness. Xandra discusses with Arthur about what this training is about to which he explains that "there is no "I" in Camelot", which is about being a brave hero without being fearful. Meanwhile at Merlin's workshop, Merlin is too addicted in playing the video game on June's phone and as May asks him to give June her phone back, he refuses to as he is too addicted. The nieces continue exploring Merlin's workshop where they find a scroll depicting an image of a dragon where it instructs users how to summon a dragon. Saying the magic words, the spell was successful as a dragon is successfully summoned. Seeing the dragon, the nieces feel worried that summoning a dragon is a bad idea as the dragon could cause havoc in Camelot, much to Merlin being too busy playing the game on June's smartphone.

Back with King Arthur, he instructs the participators for the next training exercise to which the Caballeros and Xandra feel uncomfortable about the training he provided them to which Lancelot, Galahad, Kay, and Bors share the same reaction with Donald, José, Panchito, and Xandra, much to Arthur explaining to them that this is treason much to the participants' complaints for poor training. Suddenly, the dragon appears and starts terrorizing Camelot and finally finding some actions, Xandra tasks Arthur to fight the dragon for victory. Arthur asks the Knights of the Round Table to join in, but they refuse to thinking he betrayed them. Arthur explains to Xandra and the Caballeros that this dragon can sniff out his most prized possession, the Grail of Immortality, warning that if the dragon consumes the Grail, it will destroy Camelot forever. Back at Merlin's workshop, April, May, and June tell Merlin to stop playing and defeat the dragon to which Merlin explains that he beat the dragon in the last level. Back at Clinton Coot's cabana, Felldrake waits by himself where he plans to help Sheldgoose disguise in a cake costume but a dog approaches him and scares him away.

Back at Camelot, Tyrone, the red dragon, continues to terrorize Camelot where the Caballeros, Xandra, and Arthur hide behind a kiosk full of Arthur's merchandise to which the kiosk is set on fire. Arthur then finally plans to fight the dragon the old way. While facing the dragon, Xandra tries to save Arthur from being burned but in fact it is a cardboard cutout of Arthur which is broken and damaged by the dragon's fire. As the dragon seeks for the Grail of Immortality inside the castle, Xandra tells Arthur to give her allies swords to help fight against the dragon. Back at Clinton's cabana, Ari tries to get Sheldgoose out of the original Three Caballeros's basement while being faced by Humphrey, much to Sheldgoose's shock. Back at Merlin's workshop, April, May, and June are attempting to find the dragon scroll in a plan to undo the spell, but they are having trouble finding it.

Meanwhile, Arthur leads Xandra and the Caballeros to a room where his weapons are at. He then shows hall of weapons where they would get something to fight the dragon to which Panchito, José, and Donald grabs weapons to ready themselves while Xandra brought her bow to help fight the dragon with courage. Suddenly at the throne room where the Grail is at, Tyrone, the red dragon, bursts in and attempts to consume the Grail to which Xandra and the Caballeros arrive and prepare to fight the dragon but are having trouble defeating it just as Xandra asks Arthur to find real help.

Meanwhile at Merlin's workshop, April, May, and June are still having trouble finding the dragon scroll to which they still couldn't find the correct scroll to undo the spell. Back at Arthur's throne room, Xandra and Arthur continue fighting the dragon in a combat inside the room with the Grail. Suddenly, Merlin is too obsessed in defeating the dragon in the video game on June's phone. Back at the throne room, Tyrone, the red dragon, corners Xandra, Arthur, and the Caballeros, but the Knights of the Round Table, Lancelot, Galahad, Kay, and Bors, decide to help their king alongside Xandra and the Caballeros. Back with April, May, and June, they finally find the dragon scroll but cannot find ways to undo the spell. Seeing a fireplace, it is found out that the scroll can be destroyed by placing it into the fire. April then throws the scroll into the fire. As the dragon prepares to strike, it suddenly gets destroyed, thanks to April who threw the scroll required to summon the dragon into the fireplace. With the dragon destroyed, everyone in Camelot celebrates their victory in defeating the dragon and protecting the Grail. Suddenly, April, May, and June approach the Caballeros inside the throne room as the three explain to them that they fought a magic dragon throughout their adventures. Back with Merlin, he finally beats the game on June's phone, earning 1,000,000 gold coins for beating the game. However, it turns out that the coins he won from the game are not real as he feels deceived upon playing the game. Enraged, he throws the phone into the fireplace, which destroys a cellphone employee back at Duckburg. Suddenly, Merlin sulks in his workshop about what happened to the nieces who entered it.

Back at the village, Arthur thanks Xandra for showing him how to be a king of action again just like he was with the original Three Caballeros. Arthur then decides to give the classic hero training course worthy of the Three Caballeros to the Knights of the Round Table to which they agree. Arthur then trains the Caballeros like what he did before in the past.

Back at the New Quackmore Institute, a pack of dogs surrounds Felldrake just as Humphrey and Ari kick out Sheldgoose in Clinton's cabana. Explaining that he didn't retrieve the Spark of Life, he obtained the amulets from the original Caballeros to which Felldrake explains how he obtained them to which Sheldgoose explains that he got the amulets while facing Humphrey, to which Felldrake decides to keep it a secret.

Trivia[]

  • King Arthur, a lion, bears a strong resemblance to King Richard.
  • Merlin is a blue owl (presumably referencing Merlin's pet owl Archimedes) with huge glasses, making him look something like Professor Owl.
  • As April, May, and June rummage through Merlin's spells to try and help him, they come across one spell that can turn someone into a fish and another that can turn someone into a squirrel. This is a reference to The Sword in the Stone, in which Merlin similarly turns Wart into a fish and then a squirrel, as well as a sparrow.
