"That's My Jam!" is the second segment of the forty-first episode of Mickey Mouse Funhouse. It premiered on August 18, 2023 alongside "The Kooky Paleontologist!", and is the second segment of the sixteenth episode in the second season.
Plot[]
The gang embarks on a journey to gather instruments for a big jam session.
Synopsis[]
The episode begins inside Funny, where the gang is trying to perform music, though it doesn't come out right. Mickey fantasizes being a classical conductor and performing Ode to Joy by Ludwig von Beethoven using a baton. Goofy and Daisy like hip hop music and want to play with an electronic drum machine and disk jockey table, respectively. Minnie and Donald like rock music and imagine themselves playing with drums and a guitar, respectively. Funny tells the gang about a musical world called Musicville, and they depart.
The gang arrives at Musicville, where everything about the world is completely musical. After walking a bit on the piano sidewalk, Mickey accidentally lands in a trumpet bush, where he finds a baton. He attempts to make music with it but quickly discovers he needs more practice. The rest depart for their music styles. Minnie and Donald come across a cave whose entrance is shaped like a guitar and immediately go in while Daisy and Goofy continue. Minnie and Donald find the Wheezelene and her weasels playing rock music and they allow them to join them. Daisy and Goofy find an outdoor hip hop recording studio. Goofy takes to the electronic drum machine while Daisy takes to the disk jockey table and discover that they can play Mickey's favorite song Ode to Joy. The same happens with Minnie and Donald in the Cavernous Cave.
Meanwhile, Mickey still has trouble conducting music and both the plants and animals join in. He finds Minnie and Donald enjoying Ode to Joy with their rock music and Goofy and Daisy enjoying it with their hip hop music. Funny suggests to Mickey that in order to play good music, everyone should play the same notes at the same time. With this in mind, Mickey conducts a harmonic melody of Ode to Joy, including both classical, rock and hip hop music. Later, the gang returns to Funny. The episode ends with Funny producing a souvenir to remember their trip and Mickey and Minnie waving goodbye to the viewers as everyone else leaves.
