Not to be confused with the Disney Parks ride, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, at Magic Kingdom and Shanghai Disneyland.

The 7D Mine Train was a mobile application based on the Disney XD animated series The 7D. It was an endless runner game released on mobile devices to promote The 7D on Disney XD.

The game was removed from the App Store and Google Play at an unknown date in 2017, a year after The 7D began and concluded its second season in 2016.

Gameplay[]

The 7D Mine Train was an endless runner video game where the player could choose one of the dwarfs from The 7D: Happy, Sneezy, Dopey, Bashful, Doc, Sleepy, or Grumpy as their avatar. During gameplay, the player's avatar moved automatically and could collect gems along the way (gems could be found floating all along or in chests - on tracks or floating mid-air with wings) across different environments in Jollywood while jumping over gaps. Other gameplay mechanics besides collecting gems included recruiting other dwarfs along the way and avoiding obstacles such as spikes or the Glooms - Hildy and Grim. Along the way, a dwarf's power would fill up during gameplay and once full, the player could press it to give each dwarf his unique power.

There were many ways a player could end their gameplay such as falling into bottomless pits or colliding with obstacles or the Glooms. Or instance, if the player collided an obstacle while having a dwarf whose cart was aligned, it would not end their gameplay but the player would have an extra chance of continuing their gameplay. The player would automatically end their gameplay if the last remaining dwarf collided with an obstacle. In addition to normal gameplay, players were able to spend gems in the shop such as optional gadgets, which are power-ups that could help the player during gameplay or upgrading their carts for each of the Seven Dwarfs. Gems were earned after collecting them after each gameplay or completing specific missions. The player also received missions to complete in order to earn gems through a specific method. The game also included in-app purchases where players were also able to purchase other items through real-world money such as gems or bundled packages to unlock all collectible items.

Trivia[]

  • There was also a similar 7D-themed online game titled The 7D: Dwarf Track Builder which focused on the Seven Dwarfs riding on their minecarts on the Disney XD website. Unlike in Mine Train, Dwarf Track Builder required the player to concentrate carefully while building tracks around obstacles in Jollywood.
