"The Ape Who Would Be King" is the fourteenth episode of Jungle Cubs.

Synopsis

The Cubs learn of a prophecy that states that Louie will someday be king of the jungle, but Khan wants the role for himself.

Trivia

• Includes the song "Everything's Gonna Be Right with the World".
• As of this episode, all six of the main cubs are slightly older, presumably in their early teens, and physically different.
  • Baloo is now slightly taller with darker bluish fur and speaks with a slower, deeper voice.
  • Bagheera's fur becomes lighter and his voice is noticeably thinner as a result of getting a different voice actor.
  • Louie's crest has disappeared and his hair has gone down. Also, as a result of a new voice actor, he has a more feminine, yet recognizeable voice similar to how he sounds as an adult.
  • Shere Khan is now slightly taller with brighter fur and a sleeker figure.
  • Kaa's body is longer with his skin color changed to a shinier green with magenta spots.
  • Hathi is now slightly taller with lighter skin.
