Emelius Brown:
How pleasant,
Bobbing along, bobbing along
On the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
What a chance to get a better peep
At the plants and creatures of the deep
We glide, far below the rolling tide
Serene, through the bubbly blue and green
It's lovely,
Bobbing along, bobbing along
On the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
What if the octopus,
The flounder, and the cod
Think we're rather odd
It's fun to promenade
Both:
Bobbing along, singing a song
On the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
(Instrumental Bridge)
Eglantine Price:
It's lovely,
Bobbing along, bobbing along
On the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
Both:
What a chance to get a better peep
At the plants and creatures of the deep
Eglantine Price:
It's grand
When you're dancing on the sand
Emelius Brown:
Each glance
Bubbles over with romance
Both:
It's lovely,
Bobbing along, bobbing along
Through the water where
We get along swimmingly
Far from the frenzy
Of the frantic world above
Eglantine Price:
Two beneath the blue
Emelius Brown:
Could even fall in love
Both:
Bobbing along, singing a song
On the bottom of the beautiful briny sea
Bobbing along, singing a song
On the bottom of the beautiful briny,
Shimmering shiny, beautiful briny sea

Trivia
The song was supposed to be used in Mary Poppins for the compass sequence but it was cut from the final print.
Between 1977 and 1978 at Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, a Beautiful Briny Deep unit based on this scene in the film appeared in the Main Street Electrical Parade. One of the floats featured the Briny Boys performing a different variation of the song's instrumental bridge in front of a whale. It was heard alongside the "A Bit Bubbly" music in the unit, which the latter was made exclusively for the parade.
