"The Bet" is the second segment of the twenty-ninth episode of Recess.
Synopsis[]
T.J. bets Vince that he can not go without winning every game he plays for one day.
Plot[]
The Recess Gang begin to notice that Vince is becoming more boastful and conceited due to the fact that no one can beat him. They push him to do other challenges, but he starts to gloat over his numerous wins with little to no respect for anyone. Finally fed up, T.J. makes a bet with Vince that he cannot go a full day without winning at something. When Vince suffers his first real loss, he instead begins to happily gloat about that as well to the point that he starts to excitedly lose on purpose.
The Recess Gang finally set him up against Lawson to a game of P-I-G, as they feel that he will not be able to stand losing against him. Lawson mocks Vince about it until the two of them evenly tie. T.J. tells Vince that if he loses he has his friends, but will be mocked, but if he wins he can forget being around the Gang. Vince loses and Lawson proceeds to mock him. The Gang congratulate Vince for finally being humbled, but once they leave, Vince tosses a real basket, implying that he lost on purpose.
