The Happy Helpers cover for Billy Beagle as race announcers while he competes in the Hot Dog Hills Off-Road Mud Bowl Race but his conservative driving skills cause Billy to be in last place until the Happy Helpers tell Billy that he needs speed to win the race.
Plot[]
The episode begins in the Happy Helpers office, where Minnie picks up a call from Billy Beagle asking them to broadcast the Hot Dog Hills Off-Road Mud Bowl Race while he races in it. Though initially hesitant, Minnie and Daisy agree to broadcast the race for him. The Happy Helpers arrive in the race and, with Cuckoo-Loca using a camera on her head to livestream the race, they explain to the audience that the race will be around the outskirts of Hot Dog Hills, all off-road and covered in mud. All the racers arrive, including Billy, who has initiated a rivalry with Pete.
The race is now underway, with the Happy Helpers following along in their vehicle. Billy is in last place, and the Happy Helpers van slides on the mud, accidentally breaking a gate to a farm, releasing a stampede of cows. While the Happy Helpers are catching up, Cuckoo-Loca's camera falls into Pete's Roadster, where they overhear Pete planning to cheat and ditch the losing racers. Pete grumbles when his scheme is now ruined, but has to stop his Roadster and block the racers when the cows block the path. The camera lands on one of the cows, forcing Daisy to get it back while herding the cows back to their farm, allowing the racers to continue.
The race continues to Mount Mustard; the race goes around the mountain, but the Happy Helpers go up and over it to get ahead of them. Their van slides onto the path, inadvertently rerouting the race to Hot Dog Hills. Daisy and Cuckoo-Loca are upset because they think they ruined the event on live television, but Minnie enthusiastically tells the audience that they are going to Hot Dog Hills. Once reaching Hot Dog Hills, the Happy Helpers reroute the race back to the original track, and they discover that Billy is overthinking everything. They give him the same advice he gave them before, allowing him to win the race. Cut to the main stage, where Billy receives his trophy. The episode ends with Pete taking the trophy but spilling mud everywhere, causing everyone to fall off and mud getting splattered on Cuckoo-Loca's camera.
Trivia[]
