"The Bite of Kenge" is the thirty-seventh episode of the Disney Junior animated series The Lion Guard. It premiered on November 3, 2017 and is the eleventh episode in the second season.
Plot[]
Janja, Cheezi, and Chungu have found a grove filled with Tikiti Melons, melons that are filled with water. They try to steal them but the Lion Guard shows up and stops them. The Guard then stays to guard the Melons. The Hyena trio head back to the Outlands Volcano and tell Scar. After hearing about the Melons, Scar orders the Hyenas to go back and steal all of them as this will leave Ma Tempo's Herd easy prey for Janja's Clan due to dehydration. When Janja expresses fear of the Lion Guard, Ushari suggests a lizard friend of his named Kenge. Janja scoffs at the idea of a "little lizard" helping them defeat the Lion Guard. However, Ushari tells them Kenge is a big and bad lizard in the song Big Bad Kenge and to not call him a little lizard "whatever you do" and when asked why he said that they 'don't want to know'.
Janja, Cheezi, and Chungu go back to the Pride Lands and meet up with Kenge who they discover is a big and ferocious monitor lizard who hates even hearing the word little. Kenge causes a commotion that leads the Lion Guard to him. A fight breaks out where Kenge bites Kion, Fuli, and Beshte and renders all three of them unable to use their legs. After Kenge leaves, Ono realizes what Kenge is and reveals that monitor lizards have venom in their teeth that induces paralysis. Ono goes to get Rafiki but finds Makini, who reveals that Rafiki isn't there, and brings her to the Guard. As Makini treats the venom, Ono spots Kenge with the Hyenas, who are stealing Takiti Melons again. Realizing what's going on, Kion sends Ono and Bunga to stop them. Ono and Bunga try to do so, but Kenge bites them too and leaves with the hyenas.
Ono can't fly anymore but Bunga is discovered to be immune. Bunga and Makini go to save the Melons. As Makini saves the Melons, Bunga provokes Kenge into biting the Hyenas by calling him a little lizard. The rest of the Lion Guard shows up and Kion blasts them back to the Outlands.
