"The Boo Boys Are Back" is the first segment of the thirty-sixth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on July 12, 2019 and is the first segment of the eleventh episode of the second season.
Synopsis[]
The Ghoul Girls and Poltergeist Pat perform at the Paranormal Pop Festival.
Plot[]
The Ghoul Girls are practicing their performance, which Vampirina describes as amazing. Bridget compliments the howls, and Vampirina claims she had help from Wolfie. She mentions the Paranormal Pop concert next weekend, which the Ghoul Girls are almost ready for. Demi mentions that some of the biggest bands in Transylvania got their start at Paranormal Pop. The Ghoul Girls are excited about it, and are about to practice again when Oxana interrupts, stating that the Hauntleys booked a last-minute guest, revealed to be Poltergeist Pat.
The Ghoul Girls wonder what he's doing there, and he states that he's here as a friend. He apologizes for locking the Ghoul Girls in a dungeon, and states that they could practice together, since they're both performing at Paranormal Pop. Vampirina states that they've been working on a new song, and Poltergeist Pat likes the idea, but Poppy is not sure she can trust him. Vampirina tells her to give him a chance. as everybody can change, and Poppy and Bridget accept.
They then practice their song, and Poltergeist Pat likes it. He states that the Boo Boys are cranking out the screamy beats as always. Poltergeist Pat then performs his song, which needs more practice. The Ghoul Girls then practice their song again, and Poltergeist Pat likes it. Later, everyone is packing to get ready for the Paranormal Pop concert. Vampirina assumes that practicing with Poltergeist Pat helped. They then head to Transylvania for the concert.
At Spookleton Castle, the Hauntleys notice the other bands arriving for the concert. The Ghoul Girls then head backstage to set up their instruments. Poltergeist Pat then appears, stating that he still has to accessorize, as the Boo Boys are the first band of the night while the Ghoul Girls play at the end of the show. With ten minutes until the show begins, the Hauntleys will be watching from the front row.
Later, the Paranormal Pop concert begins, with the Boo Boys as the first act. They perform the Ghoul Girls' song without asking them. Gregoria assumes that Poltergeist Pat is one sneaky ghoul. Demi mocks him, and the Boo Boys make fun of him before stating that everybody loved the song. Since it's against the rules to play a repeat, it looks like the Ghoul Girls are out of the competition. Vampirina states that they'll figure this out somehow. Demi suggests playing something else, but a ghost takes the scarinet Demi is playing away. Vampirina states that if the Ghoul Girls wrote a cool song once, they can do it again, as they can't give up just because they didn't get their way; they just have to start over.
Using their skills, the Ghoul Girls put it all together and perform their newest song, which is even better than their previous one. The Hauntleys praise their performance, and Boris states that Vampirina never gives up; she tries and tries again. Demi reveals that the Ghoul Girls were the hit of Paranormal Pop, and Poltergeist Pat states that they're really good. Vampirina states that they're best friends and never let anything get in their way. They then perform an encore.
