The Book of Once Upon a Time is a series of interstitial shorts produced for the defunct Australian Disney Junior channel. It is a short anthology series showcasing books inspired by Disney franchises such as Frozen, The Lion King, Doc McStuffins, Cars, and many others.
The series is also available on the Disney+ streaming service, making its first US debut on the platform.
Synopsis[]
- “Come inside the Disney Story Room. It's time for a story from the Book of Once Upon a Time.”

Each episode would show the narrator telling a story centered on a book inspired by Disney franchises narrated by actors, such as Kate Mulvany, The Umbilical Brothers, and Rupert Degas. Each episode features images of Disney characters whose artworks are based on the illustrations from the books and in occasions, the illustrations would be animated on parts of each book's plots in order to give the characters expressions throughout each story. As the narrator finishes telling the story, the storybook itself closes and reveals the website to the Australian Disney Junior official site.

Season 4[]
Note: In this season, each episode features children entering the Story Room and upon entering, each episode features narration by the Story Room (voiced by Rupert Degas instead of being played by a live actor) who tells the stories inspired by Disney franchises to the children who enter the Story Room. Additionally, this is the last season produced for Disney Junior in Australia prior to its shutdown on the New Zealand feed on November 30, 2019 to make way for Disney+, followed by the Australian feed itself also shutting down on April 30, 2020.
