The Candleman appears in the five-issue comic book series Seekers Of The Weird, part of the Disney Kingdoms comic line as a minor villain, first appearing in the first issue published on January 15, 2014. In the comics, this depiction is portrayed as a henchman of the villain Despoina, giving a warning to the heroes Melody and Maxwell Keep that if they do not give her the Grandfather Coffin Clock by the time the Candleman melts, they would face the consequences.
Other Appearances[]
Haunted Mansion Holiday[]
A figurine of the Candleman was added in the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay in Disney California Adventure in the attic scene in 2023.
Trivia[]
- It is likely that the Candleman may have been inspired by elements from the 1933 classic film, Mystery of the Wax Museum or the 1953 remake House of Wax which starred the late Vincent Price, as both films feature antagonistic wax figures that attempt to turn victims into wax figures.
