"The Chocolate Club" is an episode of the Disney Channel original television series Saturdays and premiered on April 14, 2023. It was written by Gretchen J. Berg & Aaron Harberts and directed by Leslie Kolins Small.
Synopsis[]
Ari's sleepover with her friends is a bust when it lines up with Paris and Simone's Chocolate Club.
Plot[]
Paris and Simone are both on their periods and when the cramps get bad, they crave chocolate. They call this the "Chocolate Club". Ari comes over to Paris' house, confused as to why the other girls are not at Saturdays. Paris and Simone explain to her what the Chocolate Club is and just want to relax. Ari pretends she is also apart of the Chocolate Club because she does not want to feel left out. The next few Saturdays, Ari keeps trying to make plans with Paris and Simone, but they keep shutting her down because it's still "Chocolate Club Time." Fed up, Ari goes to play an arcade game alone and accidentally breaks the joystick. Duchess sees this and asks her to come to her office. Ari tells Duchess that she feels like the odd one out and always a step behind her friends. Duchess reassures her that her time will eventually come and that she has the rest of her life to be a woman, but only a moment to be a kid. There is a new heartthrob at Saturdays named Theo, which makes London jealous since Madison has a crush on Theo. Madison later returns to her DJ booth and notices that London had cleaned it up for her and made her a shelf for her belongings. He wishes her good luck on her date with Theo. Ari goes on a roller coaster alone, until Paris and Simone stop the attendant, asking to let them on. Ari apologizes for lying about being in the Chocolate Club. Paris and Simone both reassure her that they still love her, even if they aren't always in sync. Eventually, Ari's time comes and she is now officially apart of the Chocolate Club.
