The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes is a television remake of the 1969 film of the same name, starring Kirk Cameron as Dexter Riley, the boy who becomes a genius after a lab accident transfers a computer encyclopedia into his brain.
Synopsis[]
By accident, the content of a computer encyclopedia is transferred into the brain of Dexter Riley, a less than average college boy. Because of his newly acquired knowledge, the school's dean has him compete in a quiz show between various universities, where he sweeps all the points and gains the college new students and media attention. Along the way Dexter has to evade Norwood Gill, a wiz kid from another university, finds out about his cheated wisdom and does everything to discredit Dexter, FBI agents who mistake him for a cyber criminal, and the greedy dean of Norwood's college looking to Dexter as a replacement.
