"The Cool Guy" is an episode of Wander Over Yonder.

Synopsis

Lord Hater's next invasion is put on hold when he joins Emperor Awesome, where he starts acting like a party-loving dude like him. This results in Peepers being left out, as he tries to do the invasion himself.

Plot

Lord Hater and Peepers are preparing to conquer Flankar 5 by using small models which they quickly begin to play with like children. Suddenly, Emperor Awesome's ship, a giant stretch limo, crashes through their ceiling. Awesome stumbles out in a daze and an angered Hater is about to attack him while asking for insurance. However, when Awesome tells Hater that he "thought [he] was cool," Hater stops and believes that Awesome was trying to compliment him. Awesome offers to take Hater out partying with him, but not before belittling his models which Hater quickly adheres to. The two end up leaving a very disgruntled Peepers behind who convinces himself that Hater will be back.

Awesome changes up Hater's look and proceeds to take him to various parties across the galaxy; even managing to hook him up with various women. It becomes apparent that Awesome is very shallow and teaches Hater to belittle others not considered cool. Peepers tries to call Hater so that they can continue their invasion, but Awesome has Hater hang up on him repeatedly. Finally convinced that Hater is not coming back, Peepers decides to start the invasion without him. After a wild night of partying, Awesome tells Hater that he is going to leave. Hater tries to get him to stay with his own interests, but he turns him down. Upon seeing his own ship headed to Flankar 5, Hater offers Awesome to come with him to the invasion.

Peepers begins the invasion on Flankar 5 and gives a speech to the people. As Awesome's ship arrives, he hops out and, to Hater's surprise, has the people of Flankar 5 turn on Peepers by commenting on his diminutive appearance and for being a nerd. Peepers gets laughed at, but he counters by calling Awesome a phony and commenting on his social worthlessness. Offended, Awesome begins beating up Peepers. Hater finally comes to his senses and attacks Awesome (mostly because beating up Peepers is his job) and demands that Awesome finally use insurance. Afterwards, Hater and Peepers are back to playing with their models when Wander suddenly appears with his model causing Hater to chase him again. Sylvia brings up her model as she and Peepers sigh in annoyance.
