The Creature of Doubloon Lagoon

"The Creature of Doubloon Lagoon" is the first segment of the one hundred and sixth episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on March 21, 2016 alongside "Minotaur Mix-Up!", and is the first segment of the eleventh episode in the fourth season.

Plot[]

On the Mighty Colossus, Jake and his crew are swabbing the ship when Cubby activates the ship's emergency signal flare. As Cubby promises to watch where he mops, a gill creature shows up, having seen the flare. Later, Cubby sees footprints from the gill creature and bumps into him. His scream alerts Jake, Izzy, and Skully, and the gill creature swims away. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee oversee it, and Sharky and Bones know him as the creature of Doubloon Lagoon while singing about its characteristics. Captain Hook orders his crew to launch the dinghy so they can search for treasure.

Skully sees Captain Hook's crew chasing the gill creature for his treasure, and Jake and his crew follow along to make sure Captain Hook doesn't bother the gill creature or steal his treasure. Captain Hook's crew then see footprints from the gill creature and follow them. Jake and his crew soon come across Spooky Swamp. There, Captain Hook's crew falls into an icky sticky pond. During this time, Bones understands languages from an owl, a frog, and a gill creature. Captain Hook then finds the gill creature pretending to be a tree before swimming away. Captain Hook's crew continues the chase.

Jake and his crew swing along the vines across the swamp. Captain Hook grabs a snake's tail, mistaking it as a vine, causing his crew to run away and pass Jake's crew. The gill creature then dives into Doubloon Lagoon. Captain Hook knows that the gill creature has hidden treasure there. Captain Hook's crew soon catches the gill creature, who Bones identifies as Gilly, in a net and forces him to tell where the treasure is. Izzy uses her Pixie Dust on Jake's crew to save Gilly.

Gilly then retrieves a sword, which Captain Hook steals for himself. Jake and his crew soon arrive, and Jake and Captain Hook engage in a swordfight with Jake trapping Captain Hook in a tree trunk. Gilly thanks Jake for returning the sword of Captain Colossus. Gilly used to be mateys with Captain Colossus, and when he saw the emergency flare, he thought Captain Colossus had returned, which is why he came aboard the Mighty Colossus. Gilly is now Jake's matey and is glad to guide the Mighty Colossus through any trouble or turbulent seas. Gilly then gives the sword to Jake, while Captain Hook wants Jake to use it to free him from the tree trunk.

Back on Pirate Island, Jake and his crew put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Meanwhile, Captain Hook's crew head back across Spooky Swamp when Captain Hook steps across Tick-Tock the Crocodile, mistaking it as a log, and Tick-Tock Croc gives Captain Hook a ride across the swamp.
