"The Discover-Bot Takeover" is the second segment of the fifty-sixth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on October 17, 2017 alongside "Villain After Villain", and is the second segment of the second episode in the third season.

Synopsis[]

Nemesystems re-programs the Discover-Bots to become robot thieves!

Plot[]

In the Zenith, Mission Force One is doing laps around the ship. Zeno doesn't want to see anyone slacking off. The team makes it to the finish line in their best time. Blodger is ready for more. Zeno then announces that the ship is approaching Planet Lankersall and Admirals Watson and Crick are about to call with the team's mission. Haruna misses living there, but says that nothing beats being part of Mission Force One, as he gets to travel the universe.

The Admirals then give Mission Force One their new mission: the TTA sent seven Discover-Bots to Planet Lankersall, right near the colony where Haruna's parents live, but they have stopped responding and are completely out of control. The mission is to figure out why the Discover-Bots are behaving like this and shut them down. Miles accepts the mission, and Crick tells the team to be careful. The team then performs their signature catchphrase and activates their recruit suits' mission mode.

Mirandos has a visual of a Discover-Bot moving seriously fast. Miles decides that the team needs to do the same. Miles decides to get a closer look while Loretta takes the controls. Miles then uses his blast shield to make his way to the Discover-Bot, which is still moving fast, so he activates his speed burst before snatching it with his blast tether. Miles makes his way inside the Discover-Bot, and since he can't shut it off, he decides to kick one of its systems to deactivate it.

The rest of Mission Force One arrives, and Mirandos notices something different about it. Haruna says that those Discover-Bots were made by the TTA, but the TTA logo got covered up by the Nemesystems logo. Loretta says that Nemesystems is behind this. Miles wonders why Nemesystems would reprogram all the Discover-Bots to go crazy.

Loretta says that finding out Nemesystems' goal would have been easier if Miles didn't break one of the Discover-Bot's systems. Eventually, Loretta finds out what mission Nemesystems gave the Discover-Bot, and Haruna sees the techstop, his parents' invention. It can shut down any machine it touches. If Nemesystems gets it, they'll be able to turn off any ship or machine that goes after them, as part of their plan to take over the TTA. Miles realizes that Mission Force One needs to stop Nemesystems from getting it.

The Nemesystems thundership then approaches, and a nemetron tells Commander Nemex that the reprogrammed Discover-Bots have not yet found the techstop, but Nemesystems has a complication: Mission Force One is trying to stop the bots. However, the nemetron personally programmed the Discover-Bots to stop at nothing until they find the techstop.

Haruna informs his parents about what Nemesystems is planning to do with the techstop, and Miles reassures them that Mission Force One is on it. Maya and Kofi will keep an eye out for anything strange in the colony and tell Mission Force One to keep the techstop safe. Mirandos then locates all of the Discover-Bots, which are heading for the colony. Miles decides for the team to split up. To turn off the Discover-Bots without breaking them, Loretta prepared the modules she has with a shutdown code. Once they are plugged into the bots' port, the bots will power down.

As M.E.R.C. takes the controls, Miles uses his blast shield to make rocks fall onto a Discover-Bot before Miles shuts it down. Miles and M.E.R.C. decide to make it to the colony. Mirandos' idea of fishing for a Discover-Bot by trying to catch it with a net she solidized doesn't work as the bot continues to run out of control, and Haruna's idea of blocking another Discover-Bot with his space jet only damages the space jet. Haruna informs Miles about how hard the Discover-Bots are to catch. With the Discover-Bots getting near the colony, Miles loses sight of a Discover-Bot, but M.E.R.C. has an idea. He blocks the Discover-Bot's path before using his neck to plug the module into the bot's port to power it off.

With four Discover-Bots remaining, Miles tells the rest of Mission Force One, who are struggling with deactivating the remaining Discover-Bots, to try to surprise them. Blodger activates his space jet's Invisitech to stop the Discover-Bot before shutting it down. Mirandos decides to solidize a metal pole on her end of the net to stop the Discover-Bot before powering it off. Haruna decides to activate his space jet's battering ram's strength level to 92%, creating a hole which the Discover-Bot gets stuck in, before Haruna powers it off. Loretta uses her Naxos skills to catch up to her Discover-Bot before powering it off.

Haruna and Miles meet Maya and Kofi, and tell them that all of the Discover-Bots have been shut down. Back in the thundership, Nemex and Aggro tell the nemetron that he said the plan would work, but it did not. However, the nemetron has a backup plan in place: he launches a strikerbot. Just as Haruna tells Miles that the mission wasn't that hard, a strikeship and a strikerbot appear. The strikerbot steals the techstop, but Miles uses his laser staff to get the techstop back. He then uses it to deactivate the strikeship, completing the mission. The nemetron tries to apologize, but is stopped by Nemex. Aggro says that that is not good.

The rest of Mission Force One arrives at the colony, and Miles says that they couldn't have saved the day without all of the team. Haruna is happy his parents are okay. Miles says that that is mission accomplished before the strikeship falls down, and Mirandos says and then some.
