"The Don't-Gooder" is the second segment of the twelfth episode of the Disney Channel animated series The Ghost and Molly McGee.
Synopsis[]
When Andrea steals credit for Molly’s volunteer work, Molly tries to expose her.
Plot[]
Molly resumes her favorite past time of doing good for the environment. However, despite her massive help, she is constantly overlooked by everyone in favor of Andrea who does very little to nothing to earn the admiration of others. Molly attempts to hide her anger and jealousy, despite Scratch pointing out the obvious, which quickly boils over when Andrea is interviewed for her "work" while Molly is humiliated on live television. Principal O'Conner puts up a competition to sell nougat bars to raise money so that the school can buy a new sign with the winner getting an award for the most bars sold. Molly signs it after Andrea signs her name in a bigger font.
With Scratch's indirect help, Molly frantically sells nougat bars while it appears that Andrea is not selling any whatsoever, not even noticing Scratch stealing her bars. Despite all this, Andrea still wins the award for most nougat bars sold. Scratch believes that Andrea is somehow cheating and urges Molly to sneak over to her house to see. As they break into the garage, they discover that Andrea bought all the nougat bars herself. Molly wants to expose her, but Scratch points out that Andrea technically sold the bars as promised and therefore did good. However, Molly has grown mad with jealousy and wants to deliver "justice" by revealing that Andrea is a credit stealer; scaring Scratch.
With Darryl's help, Molly plans to show the photos of Andrea's nougat bars as soon as she is announced by the teachers at school. Molly goes down to check on Andrea, only to realize that she did all this to get the favor of her parents who seem disinterested in her accomplishment. Molly apologizes to Scratch for not listening to him and sends him up to stop Darryl from releasing the incriminating photos, but are too late. Molly manages to successfully cover for Andrea as her parents finally show approval for her actions. Molly runs home and hugs her parents out of gratitude while Scratch clears out Andrea's nougat stash, but gets a tummy ache.
