The Doomies is an upcoming Disney+ animated series, co-created by director Andrés Fernandez, head writer Henry Gifford and art director Rémi Zaarour, and is produced by French animation studio Xilam in association with Walt Disney EMEA Productions Limited. The show will follow best friends Bobby and Romy, who accidentally open a portal to the underworld, transforming their serene coastal town into a hotbed of monstrous activity.[1]
The series is set to premiere in 2025.[2] Most likely in the fall.
Synopsis[]
In the sleepy coastal town of Ouimper, friends Bobby and Romy are desperate for something strange to happen. When they come across a magical rune, their town is suddenly overrun with monsters that they must fend off.[3]

Development[]
The show was first announced alongside Dragon Striker by Disney at Annecy in 2022. An exclusive first look will be released before the show hosts an Annecy Work in Progress session on June 12 at 11:30am.[1] The series was originally titled Bobby and Daria and the Creatures of Doom.[3]
On June 11, 2025, Xilam CEO Marc du Pontavise, stated that Disney had "a lot of faith" in the series and that a second season was potentially in pre-production.[4]
Trivia[]
- This is the second Xilam produced Disney series since Chip 'n' Dale: Park Life.
- Alongside Dragon Striker, it is one of the few Disney-branded European television shows commissioned that isn't produced by a Disney-owned studio or featuring any Disney-related IP. Disney also owns the copyright to the series.[5]
