"The Forbidden City" is the second segment of the one hundred and seventh episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on March 28, 2016 alongside "Pirate Fools Day!", and is the second segment of the twelfth episode in the fourth season.
Plot[]
Captain Chen joins Jake and his crew in hopes of breaking the dragon spell. He mentions that the Forbidden City lies beyond the Never Reef and contains many treasures, including a vial of magical dragon dust which will free him from the dragon curse once and for all. Captain Chen is in a battle to keep the beast within him hidden, and his dragon tooth necklace helps him with that. Jake soon spots the Forbidden City. Captain Chen mentions that it was once a magnificent kingdom, but its sorcerer who cursed him was evil and later cursed his treasure and the city. Although the sorcerer vanished long ago, the city is filled with mystery.
As Jake's crew and Captain Chen enter the Forbidden City, the Jolly Roger shows up. Ignoring Mr. Smee's warnings, Captain Hook decides to let Jake's crew and Captain Chen lead the way before taking the treasure for himself, which Sharky and Bones like. They decide to get some treasure for themselves. Meanwhile, Jake's crew and Captain Chen come across Warrior Statues, who prevent anyone from entering. Captain Chen mentions that they must battle the statues in a fight of honor. Captain Hook plans for his crew to let Jake deal with them before sneaking their way inside. On Bones' orders, they wear their sneaky pants. During the fight, Jake plans for the statues to fight each other, and it works.
As Jake's crew and Captain Chen continue inside, Captain Hook's crew arrive while wearing their sneaky pants. They manage to sneak past the statues, but Bones sneezes, causing the statues to chase them. Meanwhile, Cubby learns that the dragon dust is at the Well of Fire and Captain Chen learns that anyone who touches the sorcerer's treasure will be forever changed into a dragon. Of course, Captain Hook ignores the warning despite Mr. Smee's protests and turns into a dragon just as the warrior statues confront his crew. Captain Hook then blows fire at Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones, who then retreat.
Meanwhile, Jake's crew and Captain Chen arrive at the Well of Fire. Izzy and Cubby go to get the vial of dragon dust when the tiles break. Jake and Captain Chen rescue them, but Izzy's Pixie Dust falls. Captain Chen mentions it's another booby trap and he must run faster than the tiles break; Skully's attempt to fly to the vial but retreats from the fire. Captain Chen grabs onto the ledge surrounding the vial, and Jake rescues him while Captain Chen gets the vial.
Captain Chen is about to be free from the dragon curse when Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones arrive and warn of Captain Hook being a dragon. They fall down the hole when Captain Hook catches them. Captain Chen knows that Captain Hook now threatens to lay a path of destruction from path to sea, and turns into a dragon to catch up with him while Jake prepares the net. Jake's crew then boards the golden dragon and soon catch up with Captain Hook. After a chase, Jake releases the net to trap Captain Hook, sending him and his crew back to the Forbidden City.
Mr. Smee thanks Jake's crew and Captain Chen for the help, and Captain Chen decides to use the vial of dragon dust, which has enough for only one, for Captain Hook, as he can't control the dragon like Captain Chen can. Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones are delighted Captain Hook is back to his old self. On Captain Hook's orders, they return to the Jolly Roger.
On Pirate Island, Captain Chen thanks Jake and his crew for the help and decides to continue searching until he is free from the dragon. On the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook laments about leaving with no treasure again when Sharky and Bones reveal to have brought a warrior's armor. This alerts a warrior statue, who fights off the crew.
