The Golden Dragon

"The Golden Dragon" is the first segment of the one hundred and third episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on February 8, 2016 alongside "Peter Pan's 100 Treasures!", and is the first segment of the eighth episode in the fourth season.

Plot[]

Captain Jake and his mates meet Captain Chen, a legendary warrior who also reveals to be the golden dragon. So Captain Jake and his crew must get the golden dragon tooth necklace back from Captain Hook before sunset, otherwise Chen will remain a dragon forever.

Synopsis[]

On Pirate Island, Skully spots something suspicious on Neverland and informs Jake and his crew of such. Jake spots smoke on the place, and they decide to check it out. Once there, they see the place in a wreck. They then see a golden dragon that is responsible for the mischief. The dragon blows fire, but Jake and his crew avoid it. Jake then sees a symbol on the dragon's forehead. The dragon then goes to Cannonball Cove, which is where Jake and his crew go off to.

Once there, Skully sees that the dragon also burned a ship that has the same symbol as the one on the dragon's forehead. Izzy and Cubby put the fire out with the water cannons. They are impressed by the ship, and Jake decides for them to go aboard to find out if anyone needs their help. Izzy spots someone on the ship, and after Jake and his crew help him and tell him what happened, he reveals himself to be Captain Chen. He also states that he knows of the dragon and thanks Jake and his crew for saving him. After Jake introduces himself and his crew, Captain Chen asks them to help him get back a magical dragon tooth necklace that was taken from him, as it allows him to protect everyone from the dragon. Captain Chen also mentions that Captain Hook stole it. Just then, Hook and Mr. Smee take off on the Jolly Roger. As Jake tells Chen to follow Captain Hook, Chen disappears, and Jake and his crew decide to chase Captain Hook themselves.

On the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook is satisfied with the necklace and tells Jake that he will never hand it over. Afterwards, the dragon appears and blows fire, which is deflected by a water cannon from Izzy and Cubby. While Captain Hook escapes, Jake and his crew decide to escape the dragon, with the water cannon out of water. They successfully escape the dragon after heading into a cave and dodging the rocks in it.

Izzy then sees that the dragon is gone. Skully thinks there's something fishy about the dragon when he sees Captain Chen resting on a rock. As Jake and his crew place him on Bucky for resting, Skully notices something fishy about him, too. While Captain Chen is resting, Cubby notices that the symbol on Captain Chen's headband is the same one that's on the dragon. Jake assumes there's a connection when Captain Chen reveals himself to be the golden dragon. He mentions the story about how that happened: a long time ago, he stole his sorcerer's treasure after being entrusted to protect it, and got punished by being changed into the golden dragon, which would forever be within him. However, he was given a golden dragon tooth necklace to control the dragon. If he does not get the necklace back before the sun sets, he will remain a dragon forever. Just as Jake and his crew agree to take the necklace back, Captain Chen turns back into the dragon.

As Bucky heads towards the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook and his crew have different gadgets to stop the dragon, including a scaredy bucket from Sharky and Bones. However, Bones trips, causing the spiders inside to land on Captain Hook. Just then, the dragon arrives, and Captain Hook's crew have no luck in stopping him. With the sun setting, Izzy uses her Pixie Dust on Jake and his crew. Jake decides to get the necklace back while Izzy, Cubby, and Skully distract the dragon. Jake takes the necklace from Captain Hook, who falls into a barrel of codfish while chasing him. After being burned by the dragon, Captain Hook sails the Jolly Roger to safety, as no treasure is worth the mayhem. Afterwards, Jake places the necklace on the dragon, turning him back to Captain Chen. Izzy and Cubby grab them and take them back to Bucky. Captain Chen congratulates Jake and his crew for saving him. Jake says that they'll call him if they need a golden dragon to help save the day. Skully tells Captain Chen to make sure no more sneaky hooks sneak up with the dragon tooth necklace again.

Back on Pirate Island, Jake and his crew put the gold doubloons they got into their Team Treasure Chest. Back on the Jolly Roger, Mr. Smee and Sharky are building a trap in case the golden dragon returns. Bones has another scaredy bucket, which he drops, and Tick-Tock the Crocodile, who was inside it, chases Captain Hook around the Jolly Roger.
