"The Golden Twilight Treasure!" is the first segment of the fourteenth episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on March 28, 2011 alongside "Rock the Croc!".
Plot[]
Jake and his mates are collecting seashells when Cubby spots a glow in the distance. They decide to check it out, although Cubby is scared at first. Jake then trips on a lantern which is soon revealed to be Brightly the Firefly's. Everyone is impressed by him, and he likes being in his lantern. Cubby notices Brightly glows bright when he's happy, and Izzy decides on his name.
Meanwhile, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are looking for the Golden Twilight Treasure. Captain Hook wants the treasure now, although Mr. Smee suggests waiting until tomorrow. After Mr. Smee mentions it, Captain Hook decides to use Brightly's light to find their way to the Golden Twilight Treasure. Jake is playing shadow puppets when Captain Hook steals the lantern. Jake and his crew then follow him to get Brightly back.
They follow his glow so they know where he is. Meanwhile, Captain Hook wonders what's wrong with Brightly, and Mr. Smee states that his light glows bright when he is around his friends. However, Brightly doesn't like being with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, which is why he's sad. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee soon come across snapdragons and run away from them due to how risky they are. Jake and his crew soon come across them and get past them by tiptoeing past them so they don't wake up, earning three gold doubloons. Cubby soon sees Brightly's glow, which used to be brighter before. Izzy states the reason for that, and Jake and his crew continue to follow the glow.
Meanwhile, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee come across the Rolling Hills and make it to the other side. When Jake and his crew arrive there, they make it across by keeping their balance, earning four more gold doubloons. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee can't see a thing due to Brightly's dim glow. Captain Hook orders Brightly to get glowing again to no avail. Mr. Smee then tells Captain Hook that they've arrived at Big Bug Valley, which is where the Cave of the Golden Twilight Treasure is located. Jake and his crew come to Brightly's rescue, and Mr. Smee leads the way to the Golden Twilight Treasure.
Cubby notices Brightly's glow fading fast. So, Izzy uses her Pixie Dust on Jake to catch up to Captain Hook quickly. Meanwhile, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee arrive at the Cave of the Golden Twilight Treasure, and Mr. Smee warns of some big bugs when Jake arrives, acting like one. Captain Hook tries to get shoo him and accidentally returns the lantern to him. Afterwards, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee stumble down the path to the Cave of the Golden Twilight Treasure.
Izzy then notices Brightly's glow fading fast. Cubby then decides to cheer him up by singing a song to make him glow again. It works, and Brightly's glow is back to normal. For that, they earned five more gold doubloons. Meanwhile, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee land in bushes before arriving at the Cave of the Golden Twilight Treasure. Once inside, they see no treasure and only a golden glow caused by the fireflies who live in the cave. Captain Hook tries to get rid of them, but that causes them to chase Captain Hook and Mr. Smee out of Big Bug Valley.
Back on Pirate Island, Jake and his crew put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Cubby mentions that Brightly wants to be his night light and sings the song to make him glow again. Meanwhile, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are on a boat and think they escaped from the fireflies, but it turns out they are lifting the boat over the Never Sea and they then push it across the sky before dropping it.
