The Happy Helpers work as cruise directors for Captain Peterson and help his First Mate and ship custodian Emmy Lou win the disco dance contest with Mr. Doozy when Fiona Featherstone drops out of the dance contest after falling into a bowl of guacamole and chips.
Synopsis[]
The episode begins at the Happy Helpers building, where Minnie receives a call from Captain Peterson, asking them to be cruise directors for his cruise ship. Minnie and Daisy immediately get dressed and head for the cruise ship. Once they board, they welcome the guests aboard, including Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Clarabelle, Hilda, and, to Daisy's excitement, Fiona Featherstone.
Minnie and Daisy are managing the dancing in the ship, with Fiona and Mr. Doozy being dance partners. Minnie notices that maid Emmy Lou is a good dancer with her mop but is shy to dance onstage in front of everybody. Fiona accidentally gets in a pipe and, after a chain of events, gets her dress covered in guacamole. Fiona declares that with her dress all messy, she is unable to compete in the dance competition later, upsetting Mr. Doozy. Minnie realizes that Emmy Lou can be Mr. Doozy's dance partner since she can dance just as well, if not better, then Fiona. Daisy and Minnie prepare Emmy for the competition, but Daisy accidentally scares Emmy with her pep talk as she mentions that everyone will be looking at her.
It is now time for the competition to begin, and Mr. Doozy is worried since Emmy is nowhere to be found. Daisy realizes that her words scared Emmy and she and Minnie take off to look for her. They find her hiding in the janitor's closet and calm her nerves so she can dance properly, allowing her to dance with her mop if it makes her feel comfortable. Emmy and Mr. Doozy dance their hearts in the competition and win. The episode ends with Captain Peterson putting the ship on autopilot so everyone can have fun dancing.
Trivia[]
Daisy referring to Mr. Doozy as a "one-man disco inferno" is a reference to the song Disco Inferno by The Trammps.
