Pete the Mighty competes in the Heroic Games and underestimates Saiya, a short Mayan hero.
Plot[]
The episode begins with the gang playing outside Funny. Teddy finds a large dinosaur bone, and Donald and Daisy encourage him to lift it, making sure he doesn't underestimate himself. Funny then gets an invitation for the Heroic Games in the Land of Myth and Legend, so the gang sets off for the games. Upon making it, the gang is greeted by Carabelle, who has been appointed as officiant of the games; it is her job to make sure everyone follows the rules. Pete the Mighty is currently the champion of the giant boulder toss, and kids are looking up to him.
Suddenly, a small man enters and introduces himself as Saiya, the king of Uxmal. Saiya enthusiastically greets Pete and challenges him for championship of the boulder toss, but Pete makes fun of Saiya and belittles him because of his short stature. Feeling hurt, Saiya departs. As punishment for violating the most important rule of the Heroic Games, which is be nice, Carabelle shrinks Pete until he is slightly smaller than Saiya. The only way for Pete to be restored to normal size is for him to find Saiya and apologize. Mickey and Donald accompany Pete to find Saiya while the rest of the gang stays behind to delay the opening of the games with an opening ceremony.
While venturing into the forest, Pete has trouble getting over a log, but Mickey and Donald encourage him, and he is able to get over. They find a temple that might belong to Saiya, and Pete is able to climb the stairs despite his short stature. Pete then goes into the temple and gives a half-baked apology to something that looks like Saiya, but the real Saiya reveals himself at the bottom of the pyramid; the Saiya inside is just a statue. Pete then finds himself blocked by a trapdoor.
Saiya says the only way to open the door is with a great force from the inside. Pete at first doubts he can do it, but Mickey and Donald remind him about he was able to jump the log and climb the pyramid's stairs. Saiya then says that he originally looked up to Pete because he felt like no matter how small he was, he could do anything as long as he put effort into it. Pete takes these words to heart and is able to open the door. Pete then gives a genuine apology to Saiya, which he accepts, allowing Pete to grow back to normal size. Pete then competes with Saiya at the Heroic Games, and both opponents score a tie in the giant boulder toss. Soon, the gang returns to Funny. The episode ends with Funny producing a souvenir to remember their trip and Mickey and Minnie waving goodbye to the viewers.
