"The Honey Song" is a song from Disney's 1948 film, So Dear to My Heart. It was sung by Uncle Hiram (Burl Ives), and was adapted from the song Old Dan Tucker.

Lyrics[]

Jerry Kincaid followed the bee
Till he come to a cottonwood tree
Sawed that tree off to the ground
Two tubs o' honey is what he found

Git outta the way, we ain't braggin'
So much honey, the wagon's saggin'
Hope them axles don't break down
'Fore we get this load to town

This load o' honey means money for the Fair
Jerry Kincaid is a millionaire
Grundy's payin' ten cents a pound
Git along hoss, we're goin' to town
