Background
In "Mirror, Mirror", after the caravan was stopped by a fallen tree, Rapunzel and the group took shelter in the estate from the storm and were greeted by the House of Yesterday's Tomorrow's inn keeper, Mr. Matthews, who welcomes them in without payment. Despite Cassandra's suspicions, Rapunzel remains optimistic and stays for the night until the storm passes.
In "You're Kidding Me!" Cassandra, Lance Strongbow and Shorty get turned into children while spinning a toy top.
In "Rapunzeltopia" Matthews reveals himself as another dark spirit and disciple of Zhan Tiri and traps Eugene, Lance and the others in unbreakable vines similar to the Great Tree's evil magic, while Cassandra enters a mysterious room after being called by a strange voice. Fortunately, Princess Rapunzel is able to make contact with her brown-haired dream self and attempts to convince her to wake up. She manages to gain control over the dream world and have Matthews overpowered, causing the House of Yesterday's Tomorrow's to vanish, while Cassandra emerges by a remaining door.
In "Rapunzel's Return" It's revealed that in the mysterious room Cassandra entered, she met a spirit in the form of an enchanted girl, who showed her that she is the biological daughter of Mother Gothel, who abandoned her on the night she kidnapped Rapunzel.
