"The Journey" is the opening song from the 1977 animated feature film, The Rescuers.

It is played when Penny sends her message in a bottle out to sea, where it eventually lands in New York City. The full opening credits play all over the illustrated song sequence by the visual development artist, Mel Shaw.

Most of the song is instrumental with a chorus.

[Song starts with an instrumental interlude]
