"The Kid Came Back" is the second segment of the seventh episode of Recess.
Synopsis[]
A stranger called the Peanut Butter Kid tries to follow the gang everywhere, and it drives them crazy after being convinced he brings bad luck.
Plot[]
The playground at recess, a kid, later identified as the Peanut Butter Kid, walks around is constantly told to leave by other kids. He finally encounters the Recess Gang who are confused by his appearance. Not knowing what to do with him, they decide to let him tag along and give him his name. Suddenly, the Gang begin to suffer a series of misfortunate occurrences. They come to the conclusion that the Peanut Butter Kid is a jinx and attempt to get rid of him by sending him away, only for him to come back in quick and almost supernatural ways. Mikey finally suggests that they simply ask him to go away, resulting in Spinelli yelling at him and telling him to leave, which he sadly does.
The Gang suddenly begin to feel bad for what they did, made even worse when they still suffer a case of bad luck and realize that the Peanut Butter Kid was just a regular kid and not a jinx. Missing him all the more, he suddenly returns and T.J. personally apologizes to him and offers that he rejoin their gang. However, the Peanut Butter Kid is suddenly called over by a group of other kids to play with them and he hands them his sandwich. The Gang still awful about what happened, until they are approached by an Ice Cream Girl with a similar disposition. T.J. tells the Gang that this time they know what to do: run. The Gang flee as the Ice Cream Girl follows them.
