"The Kilio Valley Fire" is the forty-fifth episode of the Disney Jr. animated series, The Lion Guard. It premiered on April 4, 2018 and is the nineteenth episode in the second season.
Plot[]
The Lion Guard is fighting a fire in Kilio Valley and manages to stop it. Kion then goes to Ma Tempo's Herd and tells them it's safe. Suddenly, burning branches fall from the sky and start another fire. Kion enlists the elephants to help the Guard fight it. When the fire gets too fierce, Kion tells Ma Tempo to lead her herd to safety. Suddenly, Scar's Collective appears and attacks. Realizing Scar started this fire, the Guard drives the Collective away. With Kilio Valley no more, Kion decides to lead Ma Tempo's Herd to a new home. Meanwhile, the Collective returns and claims Kilio Valley as their territory on Scar's orders.
Meanwhile, the Lion Guard tries to find Ma Tempo's Herd a new home. However, the other animals keep kicking them out for the trouble the elephants cause. Ma Tempo decides that her herd must leave the Pride Lands. Kion goes to talk to Mufasa. Kion tells his grandfather about the loss of Kilio Valley. Mufasa tells his grandson that he has indeed suffered a defeat but how you deal with defeat is just as important as victory. He also tells him that the Pride Lands are more than just land. Meanwhile, the Collective starts to fight each other over "the dump we all hate".
Suddenly, a fire breaks out in Ndefu Groove, one that isn't part of Scar's plans. Kion enlists Ma Tempo's Herd to help fight the fire, despite Zito having doubts, and they manage to put it out. Laini and her Galagoos herd welcome the elephants to use the Groove as their temporary home. Kion also vows to reclaim Kilio Valley for the elephants.
