The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Companion is a 2006 trade paperback by Don Rosa, originally published by Gemstone Publishing for The Walt Disney Company. As the title suggests, it is a companion book to The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck trade paperback that was released the previous year. It was later reprinted by Boom! Studios on November 9, 2010.
Most of these stories were originally published during Gladstone Publishing's second run with the Disney comic license, except for The Sharpie of the Culebra Cut, The Prisoner of White Agony Creek, and The Dream of a Lifetime. The Cowboy Captain of the Cutty Sark was the last story Don Rosa did before Gladstone went out of business.
All previously printed stories are from issues of Uncle Scrooge except for Hearts of the Yukon which was printed in Walt Disney Giant #1. The Prisoner of White Agony Creek, notably Rosa's last new story, is the only story that was not previously printed in an American comic book.
Although The Dream of a Lifetime and The Last Sled to Dawson were not actually published as part of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, they were included in the compilation because they deal with Scrooge when he was younger.
