Plot[]
At Aladdin's hovel, everyone is fast asleep, however Aladdin and the others wake up to find a raincloud. Iago immediately realizes that Thundra sent the cloud as a sign of her love for him, however Aladdin believes that Thundra's rainforest is in danger. The gang go to Thundra's rainforest, however Iago still believes it to be nothing, suddenly when they see Thundra arriving Iago prepares for her affections. However, instead she tells the others to follow her and Thundra shows them an area of the forest where all the trees have been cut down, claiming them to be disappearing and can do nothing to stop it. Genie reveals he has special magic beans that will be able to grow the trees back.
While the gang helps spreads the seeds to grow the trees back, Iago tries to get Thundra's attention, however she remains uninterested, saying that she is busy and again Iago still believes she is putting on an act and believes she is doing this to get get his attention. Suddenly Abu alerts the others that the new trees are being devoured, once they take a closer look everyone realizes that the problems are termites. Genie then shrinks everyone to have a better look and them, only to discover that they are mechanical and Aladdin soon realizes that this Mechanicles' doing. Thundra notices that Aladdin and Genie are gone, but Iago doesn't care and instead asks Thundra to drop "the act" and tries to be romantic with her. However, Thundra instead becomes angry with him when she learns that Iago thinks she purposely made her trees disappear to lure him to her. She calls Iago a "cuckoo bird" and flies away, but now Iago believes that she's interested in another bird.
Still small, Aladdin and the others do their best to try and stop the robot termites, but have trouble due to their small size. Genie then reverts everyone back to normal size. Thundra then appears and everyone reveals to her that the villain Mechanicles is behind her forest being destroyed. At his hideout, Mechanicles is happy that his new invention is destroying the rainforest, as he hates all the dirt they have there, although he knows that if the rainforests are destroyed then so will the world. He instead does not care and believes that the planet will be "clean" once all of the rainforests are destroyed. Back at Thundra's rainforest, more of Mechanicles' robot termites continue to destroy more of the rainforest, everyone tries their best to defeat but to no avail as there are too many of them to handle. Soon they also discover that the termites don't just eat trees, but they will devour just about anything.
Now finally realizing that the forest really is in danger, Iago attempts to impress Thundra by leading everyone to Mechanicles' hideout. Aladdin, however, has the same idea and soon everyone leaves, but right after they do, Mechanicles' mechanical scarab, Scooter, happens to pass by. Iago decides to follow it, and soon discovers that the Greek's hideout is behind a waterfall. When Iago enters Mechanicles' laboratory, the mad scientist finds the parrot and traps him. The Greek recognizes him to be one of Aladdin's friends and prepares himself for the arrival Aladdin and the others. Iago tries to escape, but to no avail. Aladdin and the gang burst in to confront Mechanicles, but instead fall into his trap, Genie also becomes imprisoned in a small tub and is unable to help the other. When everyone wonders how Mechanicles knew they were coming, Genie alerts them all to an also imprisoned Iago and finally learn the truth.
Back at the rainforest, Mechanicles is making the bugs eat the gang, but they only eat the ropes and not the heroes due to Genie's formula of grease (except Iago). Mechanicles, with the help of the mechanical bugs, puts on an insect-shaped suit of armor and tries to destroy the gang. Everyone tries their best, but no matter how hard they fight, they can't do much damage to his armor. Mechanicles then takes Thundra hostage and threatens to hurt her, but Iago, seeing Thundra in danger, fights him and frees her in the process. Thundra now becomes worried for Iago after Mechanicles takes Iago hostage instead and soon Iago tosses a magic bean (after asking Genie for one) underneath Mechanicles and the bean grew into a tree launching both Mechanicles and Iago into the air and they both fall down the waterfall. Mechanicles comes out and soon prepares to fight the group again, only to discover his armor has become rusted due to the water and it soon comes off. He also notices the rust has stained his toga, which of course, makes him flip out. Everyone then comes over to the waterfall to search for Iago, but can't find him. However much to everyone's relief, Iago emerges from the water and is alive and alright. Mechanicles gets on his mechanical bug, Scooter, and makes his escape.
With Mechanicles defeated and the rainforest being restored, Thundra apologizes to Iago for hurting his feelings and explains that whenever the forest is in danger she tends to be little "cuckoo bird" herself. However, Iago again wanting to impress her lies saying that he wasn't worried at all and isn't the romantic type. However, Thundra can easily see through Iago's act and makes him jealous by saying there's another bird, causing Iago to go into a panic. However, much to Iago's surprise Thundra then kisses him and reveals that she has a romantic interest in him, which makes Iago faint, while everyone around him cheers.
