The Magic of Disney Animation was a walk-through attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It offered guests a glimpse into how Disney's animated films are created.
Highlights of the tour included:
- Drawn to Animation - A theater presentation about character creation, hosted by a live Cast Member and Mushu
- Displays offering previews of new and upcoming Disney and Pixar animated films
- Character meet-and-greet opportunities
- An interactive area
- Animation Academy - Where guests can learn to draw different Disney characters
- Rooms filled with artwork and props that are related to Disney movies
From 1989 to 2003, the facility was an actual working Disney animation studio, where guests could see artists working on the latest Disney animated features. Mulan, Lilo and Stitch and Brother Bear were all produced entirely at this studio.
The Magic of Disney Animation closed permanently on July 12th, 2015.
