"The Magsteeds of Infurnia" is the fifty-ninth episode of the Disney Junior animated series Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on October 20, 2017 and is the fifth episode in the third season.

Synopsis[]

Mission Force One investigates suspicious Nemesystems activity on an overheated planet hoping to save its native creatures.

Plot[]

On Planet Infurnia, Colton is learning to fly, just like his dad, Cember, told him. Colton then dives into the Infurnia metal as a landing. Cember tells Colton that he must work on his landings, as well. Colton then drinks some Infurnia metal, restoring his strength.

Four other Magsteeds are doing the same thing when a ship approaches. It is attaching various places where the Infurnia metal is located. After being acknowledged by a nemetron, a Nemesystems control bot begins pumping the Infurnia metal off of the planet and into the ship's tanks. The Nemesystems stormship approaches, and Commander Nemex and Aggro, the latter thinking that the planet is too hot for him, arrive. The nemetron informs Nemex that they have begun removing Infurnia metal from the planet. Nemex thinks it's stunning, as he likes a metal he can see his reflection in. The nemetron tells Nemex that by this time tomorrow, there will not be a drop of Infurnia metal left anywhere, and Infurnia will never be the same again.

Meanwhile, the Zenith is returning to the Tomorrowland Mission Center on Earth. Mission Force One then exits the ship and are impressed by the Mission Center, with Miles stating that there's always so much going on. Loretta says that the Mission Center is the heart of the TTA, and Haruna says that this is the base from where Mission Force One goes out and connect the universe. Miles says that it is like a home away from home and it is always so peaceful and calm here.

Just then, the team encounters Admirals Watson and Crick, who are having difficulty controlling their booster boots. The Admirals eventually crash into a wall of the Mission Center. The Admirals then tell Mission Force One that they have a very important mission, and they show a display of a new Nemesystems spaceship. Although the Admirals have no idea what it is for, it was last seen heading towards Planet Infurnia. They also show the creatures that live on Infurnia.

Crick mentions that like many creatures, if their home is damaged, they could become extinct. Miles says that Mission Force One will not let that happen. Loretta sees that the creatures are Magsteeds, which she has been studying. Magsteeds live off the liquid metal of the planet, which is their food. The Admirals are worried that Nemesystems will do something to damage the planet, since they damage everything they touch. The Admirals then task the team to go make sure the Magsteeds and their planet are safe from Nemesystems. Since the planet is hot, Mission Force One should report to the Futuretech lab for upgrades to their suits, which will protect them. The Admirals then leave the Mission Center with their booster boots before crashing somewhere else.

Mission Force One then makes their way to the Futuretech lab, where the TTA comes up with its new technology. Miles then finds one of Hubie's arms, which Hubie has been looking for. The rest of Mission Force One introduce themselves to Hubie, and are quickly hugged. Hubie modifies the recruit suits with what he calls Blaze Mode. They will have an intense heat shield to keep the team nice and protected. The team can also launch freeze pods that freeze anything in case things get too hot. Since blast-jets don't work on Infurnia because of how hot the planet is, Hubie modifies the suits with Whirlwind Boost. Although the team can't fly with it, it will catapult them into the air. Mission Force One then steps into the upgrade circles and receive their upgraded Blaze Mode spacesuits. The team then performs their signature catchphrase.

When the Zenith gets close to Infurnia, Haruna can't believe anything can live in a place that's so hot. Miles decides to stop the Zenith outside the planet because if it goes any lower, its engines won't work due to how hot the planet is. Miles decides for M.E.R.C. to take the ship back up into orbit. Since Mission Force One can't fly down to the planet, Miles decides for the team to jump ship with the blast pods while activating their suits' Blaze Mode.

Once there, the team is amazed about how great the planet is. Haruna tries to eat a Yim-Yum, but it quickly burns due to the hot temperature, 4,000 degrees Farenheit, according to Loretta. Mirandos doesn't feel any heat at all through her suit. Blodger tries the Whirlwind Boost upgrade, but is shocked to see a statue of a Magsteed. The rest of Mission Force One then arrive to see more statues of Magsteeds. Loretta sees that they look so real. Haruna assumes that there used to be something important in the pit. Just then, a pipe from the new Nemesystems ship sucks more Infurnia metal off of the planet.

Miles then immediately notices that Nemesystems is stealing the Infurnia metal, the Magsteeds' food. Miles decides for Mission Force One to get closer. They then make their way through a cave. Miles then activates his freeze pod to freeze the Infurnia metal leading to the outside. The team makes it across just as the ice melts back to the Infurnia metal. Mirandos questions what Nemesystems would want with Infurnia's liquid metal. Mission Force One then encounters Colton.

Loretta then introduces herself and Mission Force One to Colton, who introduces himself. Four other Magsteeds arrive, including Cember, who orders the team to leave Colton alone, but Colton says that they are super nice and they aren't the ones stealing the liquid metal. Miles then introduces the team to Mission Force One, who then talk about their planet being in danger from Nemesystems, who takes whatever they want from all across the galaxy. Cember then introduces himself and gets introduced to Mission Force One. Cember has no idea why Nemesystems is stealing the liquid metal. Colton says that the more liquid metal taken, the more Magsteeds get forced into hibernation, a deep sleep. Miles then finds out that the statues are not actually statues. Colton says that some have chosen to sleep so that others will have enough food. Miles reassures Cember that Mission Force One will stop Nemesystems and get Infurnia back to how it was.

Miles decides for Mission Force One to rise to the challenge with their Whirlwind Boosts, impressing Colton. Since they don't last long, the team makes their way to one of the pipes with their blast tethers. They then make their way up the pipe leading to the Nemesystems ship. Blodger still doesn't understand what Nemesystems is up to. Mirandos says that the hovering platforms suck the liquid metal into the surface and send it all the way into the ship. The team decides to keep moving.

Once the team is on the ship, they see a control bot connected to the main pump that sucks the liquid metal off of the planet. Miles decides that draining the liquid metal back onto the planet shouldn't be too hard. Just then, Commander Nemex appears, making the mission a little harder.

The nemetron tells Nemex that they continue to drain every lake of Infurnia metal that they locate. However, he thinks about leaving some of it behind. Despite the fact that the creatures become extinct if their planet is ruined, Nemex thinks that is a crazy idea. He says that they could become extinct or they could grow stronger. Nemex also says that when your environment changes, you must also change. Changes are also in the future for the TTA, as well. When Nemesystems overthrows the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, it will be stronger. Nemex will spread it to every planet and every galaxy, whether invited or not. The only way to do that is for the Nemesystems stormship to be coated in Infurnia metal to make it unstoppable. Nemex announces that his stormship will lead them into a Nemesystems future. Then, the fleet will follow, and within days, the TTA will be Nemex's.

Mission Force One overhears this, and Blodger says that this is bad for the team and the Magsteeds. Miles says that the mission just got a whole lot harder. One of the pumps then drains another lake of liquid metal before relocating to another. The team then make their way down to the surface with their blast pods and tell Colton and Cember about what Nemesystems is planning. Miles tells Colton that the team will give Nemesystems a reason. Since getting up to the ship isn't easy, the Magsteeds, excluding Colton since the plan is too dangerous for the young, decide to help Mission Force One with rides to the ship.

The team is liking the rides to the ship. Unfortunately, the nemetron sees what is happening. Miles then activates his blast shield and laser staff. The nemetron orders the striker bots to defend the ship to no avail. He informs Nemex and Aggro of Mission Force One joining forces with local lifeforms and orders them to stay below. At that time, only half of the Nemesystems stormship has been coated in Infurnia metal.

Loretta then uses her Holo-hexes to deactivate two striker bots while the Magsteed she is riding on deactivates another with a kick. Loretta uses her freeze pod to deactivate one control bot, shutting down one pump. Haruna jumps over a trap coil from a striker bot before deactivating the bot with his shock punch. Haruna then uses his freeze pod to deactivate pump #2.

Mirandos solidizes a sledgehammer to deactivate one more striker bot before using her freeze pod to deactivate pump #3. As for Blodger, he transforms himself into a cannonball for the Magsteed he is riding on to launch him into three defense orbs, deactivating them. Blodger then uses his freeze pod to deactivate pump #4.

Back on the ship, a striker bot goes to trap Cember, however, he traps the nemetron instead. Colton deactivates the striker bot before another traps him. Miles deactivates another control bot with his blast shield and is about to launch the freeze pod to deactivate the last pump when another striker bot traps him. Just then, Colton appears, stating that young or old, they can all fight for their planet. Colton is told by Miles to take out the striker bot, and he does so with a kick. After being congratulated by Cember, Colton tells him that he had a great teacher. Miles then uses his freeze pod to deactivate the last pump, leading to the pump about to blow.

Nemex and Aggro appear and immediately realize what is going on. The sprayers aiming for the stormship break away. Nemex tells Miles what he has done, and Miles announces that Infurnia is now protected by Mission Force One. The pumps then break free, restoring all of the liquid metal to Infurnia. Miles and Cember order Nemex to get in his stormship and leave now. Nemex reluctantly does so, but warns that it is not over. He then orders all thunderships to leave the planet at once before leaving with the nemetron and Aggro.

With the liquid metal restored, all of the Magsteeds go out of hibernation. Cember announces that with enough food for all, the Magsteeds no longer need to hibernate, making them safe from extinction. As for the new Nemesystems ship, Haruna says that TTA tow barges will show up soon and tow it away, as if Nemesystems was never there. Cember tells Mission Force One that from the Magsteeds of Infurnia, they have the Magsteeds' thanks. Miles says that the team couldn't have done it without them, and they'll always be there for them. If the team ever needs the Magsteeds, they will be there for them. The Magsteeds then congratulate Mission Force One, and Miles says that that is mission accomplished.
