"The Manny with the Golden Bear" is the fifty-sixth episode of Special Agent Oso. It is a crossover with Handy Manny. It premiered on March 30, 2012, and is the thirty-second episode in the second season.
Oso is to deliver a briefcase to Professor Buffo who is on a submarine. In order to get there, Oso must use various vehicles. Dotty and Wolfie are on call if he needs help, but Oso thinks he can complete the mission all by himself. But when he tries to land the space jet in the water, it sinks. That's when Paw Pilot calls in a special alert. A little boy in Sheetrock Hills, David Spalding, wants to learn to ride a bicycle his cousin gave him. However, his mother can't teach him because of her broken foot. Not only that, the bike is broken too. So, David calls Handy Manny and his tools to help him and Oso fix the bike for Bike Day in the park. That's when Oso learns a lesson about asking for help and working together as a team.
Oso does not say "Thanks to David!". He says, "Thanks to Handy Manny and the tools!" which means he can ask his friends for help instead.
This is the first time Handy Manny is animated by Walt Disney Television Animation instead of Nelvana due a crossover episode.
In this episode, Manny introduces the tools in rhyme.
This is the fifth Special Agent Oso episode not to feature a countdown after the Kwanzaa Assignment in "The Living Holiday Lights", "A View To The Truth", "Connect Another Dot", and "The Sitter Who Watched Me".
As is normal for human characters on Special Agent Oso, David and his mother Mrs. Spalding both have five-fingered hands. However, both Manny and Kelly retain their normal four-fingered hands.
The episode was released freely and officially on YouTube in April 2024.
